DDR: Universe trailer download on Xbox 360 marketplace
To further yesterday announcement of HappyHardcore.com and The Acolyte's work with Dance Dance Revolution, it has been confirmed that the trailer posted yesterday is the same trailer you can download via Xbox live marketplace on a Xbox360. If you have a HDTV and a nice speaker setup it just makes the trailer all the more enjoyable.

Xbox live marketplace is an online service that ships with all Xbox360's enabling users to download demos, trailers and other contents. Dance Dance Revolution is a computer game developed by Konami.

HappyHardcore.com in two up coming DDR games
HappyHardcore.com has been given the green light to announce just some the work we have completed for Konami USA and the Dance Dance Revolution series. Last year we announced work we had completed with Konami on the Ultramix 3 series and we are pleased to announce the following:

The two games (that we can talk about) that we have done work for are Dance Dance Revolution: Ultramix 4 (Xbox) with the track "Fracus feat. Lisa Abbott - Desire (Comet remix)" (hardcore genre) and Dance Dance Revolution: Universe (Xbox 360) with the track "The Acolyte - Treble, Bass and Attitude" (Euro trance genre). These titles were both on display and in playable earlier this month at the E3 video game conference in Los Angeles, USA.

But it gets even bigger, not only are the tracks in the game, Konami are using "Treble, Bass and Attitude" as the music in the official game trailer to promote the game! We have grabbed a lower resolution video for you to check out, we also have a HD (high resolution) version that can be viewed (offsite link).

Congratulations to Comet, The Acolyte, Fracus and Lisa Abbott!

CLSM - The world is not enough - Rapture TV!
The CLSM crew have sent over HappyHardcore.com some tasty information about a new TV show to be aired in the UK, the new show will feature, and we quote:

"All the rave genres (Hardcore, Drum and Bass, Techno, Hard House etc) including all the top Djs in each scene"

The show is called "Underground" and will be shown of Rapture (Sky channel 192) in the UK from early July for 13 weeks.

Rapture is available to all UK residents with a sky dish, whether they subscribe or not.

In a short interview with CLSM they provided this information about the show:

HHC.com: Can you tell us more about Rapture TV and what you are showing on the shows? How long are the episodes and what time will they be on?

CLSM: DJ/ Producer interviews, short bits from clubs added to what you could describe as mayhem, including an animated llama, flip top bin and a monkey. There are effectively 6 bits to each show, of which there will always be Hardcore and Drum and Bass as the main parts with all styles of hard dance as well (Hard house, hard trance, hardstyle, gabba etc). People are welcome to post up who they would like to see on HappyHardcore.com and we can endeavor to track them down and do a feature.

Each episode is 24 mins (fills 30 min slot) and will be on in Rapture's main music program slot. First showings are Sundays at 10pm then repeats on Tuesday and Thursday at 10pm, Friday at 9pm and an obscure slot at 5am on a Thursday.

   Grrrr radio counter
You may have noticed the trusty radio listener counter has been on the fritz these past weeks, rest assured we are working on fixing the problem so you can actually see how many people are listening. The problem is due to communication between the many different streaming servers we run and currently the servers are not feeding the correct information. The radio stream itself is fully functional and the capacity of the streams remains the same.

   Ministry go hardcore round 2
Ministry of Sound are preparing a new hardcore album along the same lines as the Hardcore Classics album released very late last year. Their previous album Hardcore Classics saw a massive 7 weeks in the top 20 UK national album charts!

We are not 100% sure of the name, it might be called Hardcore Classics 2, we will get back to you on the name and the DJ's, but we do know that it is a 3 disc release and will be released at the end of May / early June with at least 1 of the discs being upfront material.

Hardcore Classics (vol1) was released 26th Dec 2005 and can be ordered now.

Scott Brown featured on Konami video game
Scott Brown is to featured in the upcoming Japanese game Beatmania IIDX RED coming out on the PS2 in May 2006. The song the was selected was Go Berzerk which is also featured on the second CD of the first 10 Years of Hardcore album by Scott Brown.

From information we have received several members of the Japanese hardcore scene including DJ Chucky and the Guhroovy crew rallied Konami to get hardcore represented in the game, well done to the guys and for Konami to include the track.

Text snipped from DJ Comet, reported by several people :)
