| Turbulence hardcore |

News late last week came in of a new hardcore label project from Turbulence Records (trance / commercial label) based in the UK. A snippet (edited) piece of the news is as follows:
Turbulence 'Hardcore' Records, or THC Records as it will become known, is the result of a joining of forces between Turbulence Records and one of founders the Hectic/Fusion Records brands from the '90s.
Turbulence is best known for the group Paradise, with releases on Quosh Records and Bonkers but also has UK rights to artists such as Ian Van Dahl, Trinity and Lasgo just to name a few.

Not really hardcore news but having a peak at the DMC World Trance chart for 27th of February 2006 has hardcore's own Styles & Breeze sitting pretty at number 2 with the trance version of I will be. Sitting not far below that is Slide Away at position 11. There is also another entry for I will be at position 17, we are unsure what this this, possibly another mix or early release?
Well done boys!

Holy crapo batman! Long time hardcore fanatic Mole has informed us that from 6pm (GMT) tonight AATW (All around the world) are having a "listener party" for X-Treme Hardcore 2, which will feature "clips" from the whole album. From what we can see the entire album is available for listening at 64k WMA. This is officially posted and is for a limited time only and will not be available after Monday 27th February 2006. You *may* have to login to clubland to listen.
The album will be in stores March 6th and can be pre-ordered now by clicking here.

More and more DJ's and producers seem to be utilizing digital media for DJing. As a result, there has been an ever increasing number of new digital labels starting up as well as many established labels offering up their releases for download. With so many releases, HappyHardcore.com had been not covering downloads in news, it just wouldn't be practical to try and cover each track individually (the news would be full of download tracks). | Hardcore on Galaxy FM in the UK - March 3rd |
|
Hardcore kick starts in the UK on the 2nd biggest FM radio network in the UK, Galaxy FM. If your in the UK you know exactly what I am talking about! DJ Silver from HappyHardcore.com will be hosting up a new 1 hour weekly show that we had announced last month but due to other factors the show was postponed until the Friday March 3rd at 1am (technically March 4th at 1am). The new launch date we are told from Galaxy's program director is confirmed and we should be all set to go.
We don't say this much about other stations (since we run our own), but if you have a chance to listen in please so, the more popular the show the more hardcore Galaxy will play in the future and the easier it will be for everyone to tune into hardcore music. The show will also be available for listen on demand axp. 5 mins after it is broadcast so you can keep tuning in all week :)

The new track from Ultrabeat (aka Re-con) vs Scott Brown - Elysium (I Go Crazy) is being promoted like crazy from AATW, which is a good thing, as it is a great track with a great hardcore mix :). This week AATW released the commercial trance / dance music video this week and we have it for everyone to check out. There is no signs of Re-con or Scott Brown in the video but interesting none the less.

You probably noticed HappyHardcore.com running at quite a slow speed or perhaps not at all these fast few days. We apologies for the problems as they were out of our hands and has to do a few configuration issues that caused the database server to grind to a halt.
The good and bad news is that the site is more popular than ever, in fact one of the issues was the amount of people actually hitting our site at peak times, we have upgraded our dedicated bandwidth to the website to compensate for the increase in traffic. That's good I hear you say, well the semi bad news at least for the people running the site is that our expenses for the site have increased quite dramatically, we want to run a quality service so hardcore fans can get their news, radio, events, and chat to their friends so we think the increase in service and costs is warranted. HappyHardcore.com is supported by Shop.HappyHardcore.com sales, banner adverting and donations by yourself. | Hardcore Classics, 7 weeks in the UK sales charts |

Hardcore Classics from Ministry of Sound this week drops to position 17 in the official UK album compilation charts from 8th last week. Never in resent times has a hardcore CD album been in the charts for such an extended period of time, well done to all involved. The album will most likely drop out of the charts next week as new albums are released but it was a great run for the album.

The first original posting of the cover comes directly from All around the world (AATW), the label responsible for the album, while the second comes from Play.com, an online retailer.

| Central Station Records, an Australian dance music label, has released a press release today stating that they will be releasing Bonkers 15 in Australia 20th of Feb 2006 with a "special low price point". We don't know exactly what that means, perhaps because the album is 4 discs it is priced at a regular single disc price. Either way it's landing soon in Oz. |
