I was watching on the news earlier and they were "undercover" posing as a concerned buyer. They rang up the people who make this drug in China, and the reporter asked what happens if/when this becomes illegal, then the person on the other end of the line in China said, "don't worry, we're already working on the next one"

There was a show on Tv not long ago regarding these legal highs and that said basically the same. As soon as one drug is made illegal the manufacturers will just alter the make-up of that drug slightly and sell it as something totally different and legal. Banning this drug will do nothing but possibly win the government a few extra votes.

And then like everyone else said, a new legal high will come, possibly more lethal and potent, and the whole process begins all over again.
If the government just legalized these types of drugs, then put heavy implications and fines on them for misuse, endangerment while on, etc. then people would live a much happier life, imo.
Legalizing drugs won't end the world, who would higher a worker high on heroine 24/7? No one. In my world, anyone who abuses the drug would be void of working, and will sober up to having nothing. But, that's my view ;D

Yeah, and they're already working on something new to replace mephedrone.
And why the **** are people saying it killed 25 people? This drug ON IT'S OWN has killed NO ONE. Every 'death' this has caused says 'could be related to mephedrone' basically meaning they took a shit load of other drugs with it but because this drug is new and legal they just put the blame on that to get it illegalized. Seriously, it's ****ing stupid. When this gets illegal it's just going to get 100x worse. Great job morons, dealers will now mix it with other chemicals further making it more dangerous so they can get more profit. The price will raise significantly as the risks of making/selling/carrying it will severe (class B drug).
Good for you guys, you just made something that isn't that bad of a drug to something far more dangerous.
Who knows what the next one will be? I hope it's 100x worse, because you people are the cause of why it's being developed and why it's going to be sold. Because you illegalized a drug that has killed no-one if taken on it's own. If mephedrone stayed legal, I doubt they would have researched/released it. So good on you, thank you for putting more people at risk, pat yourself on the back, you deserve it.
