before i continue - nobody/definatly not myself, is saying that its a bad thing or that they arent good producers, or dont make good music.
they they only sound different in the way that breeze and styles sound different to say...scott brown, its all still hardcore, and from the sounds of it there isnt enough style gap imo for people to run round saying "this is UK hardcore this is Aussie hardcore" other than the fact that theres someone down under who made it, or someone in london behind it..
to people who only know the name not the place, it may as well have come out of somewhere in between....like the maldives?
which backs up hard2get's point again lol
but thats not really what i was aiming for, im not trying to say aussies should be calling it UK hardcore...i think slapping countrys on the start of genre's seems a little big headed and perhaps samination is right that spain did get it right with "makina" too late for "UKUSAAUSCOLUMFINSWE Hardcore" though now
theres no way im reorganising my mp3 and cd collection from genre, to country as well! :P

its the same thing as most ppl in the uk calling the mainstream hardcore -> gabber. its not gabber.. gabber is the 90's music and totally diffrent from the current mainstream. its pretty much the same thing as acid started off with in this topic.. honestly i gave up on correcting ppl on this cuz they'll never learn

Ok, now I'm confused xD.
Then what's the difference between real Happy Hardcore and a modern form called UK Hardcore?
I thought traditional HHC is filled with breakbeats and UKHC usually not. Was I wrong about HHC?

well most ppl don't call it happy hardcore anymore just UK hardcore, even if it pretty much is the same thing. i think it's more of just the naming, as next to nothing in music has been called "happy hardcore" after 2005.

well there must be a difference though. on wikipedia, for example, they are very separate.

I think happy hardcore = 90's hardcore
I think uk hardcore = Upfront hardcore
I think hardcore = Dutch hardcore
Thats my opinion, and thats easy enough for me to understand, I like this way, Im gunna keep it this way...It just works for me!!!
Topic is going crazy though, Everyone is gunna have there own names for it, but hey as long as what you call it works for you. Then Fuk it!!!!
Actually im quite tempted to just call it all "TECHNO"
Ha Haaaaa

cummon, is there no answer? I remember few months ago I searched for HHC on YT and got a plenty of breakbeat stuff. and today, all of the sudden, modern HHC o.o
Ive found this sample track on wikipedia, but it doesnt have breakbeats and reminds me of UK Hardcore that I listen.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Scott_Brown_-_Elysium.ogg I know it doesnt have Supersaw leads, but its not only the instrument that makes genre.
