hello fellows, im sure you all want to hear from him, so heres an interview he recently did for Global Gathering, in which he tells of of his Second Studio Album..

What are you working on at the moment?
I've just finished my second studio album. It's taken a year and a half to complete, but I'm over the moon with it. The last album (Skydivin') was pretty much 4-5 years worth of work, when I was making the tracks I had no idea they would end up on an album. They say the second album is always the hardest and I think they're right. There's definitely more expectation and pressure, but I've loved making it. It's called 'Feel the pressure' and it's due for release on 27th June.

How would you say the hardcore scene has changed from the early 90s?
Musically it's incredibly different, but the fundamentals have stayed the same. In my opinion 20 years on it still has the same vibe and people are still as passionate about Hardcore music today as they were all those years ago. My first rave was back in 1992 and one of my hero's was DJ SY, I think he's about 108 now but he's still at the top of his game. So I guess it hasn't changed that much ;)

What is the difference playing to a hardcore crowd compared to a more mainstream crowd?
To be honest I rarely play at mainstream events but when I do in terms of reaction the crowds are just as responsive. A good example was last summer I played in Majorca and Ibiza quite a few times, which arent really known for Hardcore. I was pretty reluctant at first as I didnt think the crowd would get what I play, but they went crazy. It was a real eye opener.

You have been part of some pretty monumental collaborations, are there anymore lined up? Who would you really like to collaborate with?
Im still working a lot with the usual suspects, Re-con, Breeze, Chris Unknown etc. If I had the chance to work with someone out of my scene I would say Calvin Harris, if only just to be a fly on wall in his studio. I think he has a great sound and is a fantastic producer.

What are you currently listening to on your iPod, do you have any guilty pleasures on there?
I listen to a lot of chilled music on the iPod, but my favorite album at the moment is Acolyte by Delphic, they remind me of a current New Order, it's really good. My other fave at the moment is Ellie Goulding, I wouldn't call it a guilty pleasure as it's a bloomin' great pop album. But probably something people wouldn't expect me to be into.

Which artists do you think are going to be massive this year?
I think Recon deserves to top the bill at every rave this year. He is obviously already very established but his new batch of productions are unreal! One to watch out for is Klubfiller. He has already gathered some momentum in the hard dance scene, but his hardcore is on fire too.

Finally what is one piece of advice you have been given that has stuck with you?
Dont eat white snow. Yellow snow has more flavour.

Never thought of it that way.

Thanks for posting, but bit of a non-interview really.

If you had the opportunity to interview Styles, would you ask questions like "What do you listen to on your iPod?"

As for the new album - does anyone know, if any, how much new material is going to be on it? And if it's in the same 'one commercial CD, one hardcore CD' format?

Ha ha, my friends are always telling me I should be a journalist - but I think that's because I'm an intolerable w*nker, not because I'd be any good.

You have a point. Why on earth don't I send him an e-mail? Maybe I will. :-)

how so? a generally fast 4x4 beat with synths laid over? sounds pretty fundamentally similar to me.
