I don't know if its just me, but all this new so called hardcore just sounds like over BPM'd donk and/or basshunter-flip n fill wound up to silly speeds, it makes me want to rage TBH.
IMO, its of similar BPM, but it is nothing like what i call 'proper' hardcore.
Some of it has the classic elements in there, female vocal, piano melodies etc, but then someone seems to have gone bananas on the synths and gave it a horrible beat and made it go wrong.

you obviously have limited access to hardcore b/c that shit is all what many of us nickname on here "clubcore" and there is WAY more better stuff out there just learn to stay away from the AATW producers and you'll do fine

I like some bits and dislike other bits. Same with the older stuff and same with most other genres. :P

who refers to anything as "clubcore" other than you latin?? :P
danthebanger - you arent alone - but there are still people on this forum who do like the new stuff - everyone at the end of the day is on these forums because they are into "hardcore"
its happyhardcore.com - a bunch of people all brought together because of a general enjoyment of dance music above 165BPM
its not so hard to just all get along
and no, not fond on todays hardcore music - that said, i have high hopes for new Hardcore Underground, the samples are great!

That "music I love" track by Hixxy & Unknown is SO good (2nd youtube link)
How can you not like that? :P I agree that the other two suck though.
Your comparison isn't fair anyways - you're comparing HUGE anthems from the late 90s to "album filler" tracks very few people like in 2009. I can name dozens of HORRIBLE album filler tracks from the late 90s too.

Good points everyone, it's because i was at the ermm,, impressionable age when the classics were around so i kind of grew up with the tunes i linked to, they hold so many memories...
Summer 6 weeks holidays, loads of us round a mates place, or crammed into one of those hexagonal concrete war shelter things with one of those little mono tape players, a few tape packs, a couple of hardcore ones, and a rat pack old skool one too, plus bags full of crisps, chocolate, sunny d and some weed, signs of a mis spent youth i guess, plus im getting old now lol.
