How many people in america feel that Raving is just for white kids... I know junglists can be black but UK Hardcore is hard to listen to for black or hispanic kids. I feel sad that I don't listen to pop because my friends all listen to commercial radio. please spread Jah Love! So sorry, I live in the city not the suburbs...

uhhh what?
I've met all sorts of people of different ethnicities through going to parties. hardcore does primarily have a fan base of whites (mainly males), but isn't that why there is usually several different genres at parties to appeal to everyone?
why should you feel sad that you don't listen to pop? you're not missing much =P

The founding fathers of modern techno were all black guys from Detroit.

it doesn't matter what race you are, raves are in the dark. Plus dancing doesn't care who you are, it just wants to be dancing

I would say 99.9% of people at a UK hardcore raves will be white, it's just how it is. I do know a couple of black people who enjoy hardcore (one that mixes it) but the majority that I know don't like any hardcore other than the early breakbeat stuff. Drum and bass is very different, I went to an event @ the Lighthouse in Docklands, London and me n my mates where the only white people there.
To say "Electronic music is for white people" is absolutely ridiculous, music is for anyone and everyone electronic or otherwise. Some of the pioneers of electronic music where black and without their contribution hardcore may not have even been here today!

okay cool! I don't want to start a fight... I was just wondering why I never see any ravers in my neighborhood. I have to go way across the city to get to a party. And I'm shy as hell when I'm there. Primarily blacks, gays, and hispanics around... I don't really see color/ethnicity but everybody else does. As for underground, it's a very small scene that I'm not really familiar with enough, yet. I don't know I'm all f***ed up....
