most real goths aren't that emo at all, just different and it's not cuz they wear make-up that they can't kick your ass :p

The average age of those kids is 12 to 16...

I'm 27 and I already belong to the second generation. But maybe, belgium and Holland differ from eachother

I disagree. The third generation had that problem about being Neo's/Nazi's. But they did it themselfs, by giving Lonsdale a name, wearing it during riots.
I have come accross more Neo's then you will know, I've even come to know a few very closely. We often had discussions about the HC scene and Neo's.

Gabbers are not racists, neighter are skins... It's all about society...
But somewhere it got messed up...

The fourth generation are the true new commers. And I hate them already. They don't care for Gabbers, have no respect, do drugs for the fun of it even if it gets them killed. They dress like they're on a seks party. Hell, they even wear less, then I do lying in bed.

still love the music though

Some non-gabber elements?
I'm proud of being gabber, I wear what I like. I like to be slightly different
But nothing and no-one can make me loose my love for Lonsdale. It's a sports brand, make by blacks.
I've been called racist, they look rather surprised when I introduce my maori-boyfriend

Anyway, this is my opinion

wasn't started by him, he died waaaay before the brand came into being but it was named after him becauese he was a boxing fanatic.
the brand became popular amongst skinead because the lonsdale gym was the only place where they accepted skins as members. it gained in popularity for the same reason fred perry did within that scene, because it sort of represented a certain quality that they atributed to being truelly british and their pride of it.

the fable that lonsdale was made by black ppl is mainly because around here (belgium, holland, germany, ...) lonsdale was mainly introduced by pro boxers when they came to fight here, it just happened that a lot of those boxers were black (e.g. muhammed ali wore lonsdale)

alright, think we have a communications prob here as to which terms are what :p

1) yeah I've been to raves and yes, the crowd keeps getting younger. but I don't consider these guys to be a new generation because they simply extend and amplify the bad ideals set before them by the newskool gen in case of behavior, racism, politics, attitude. they're just part of the new flock of ignorants. The newskool crowd(imo) is the skool that has ****ed up the scene when it was most fragile. they keep proclaiming thinghs about respect for one-another, caring for naught except the music but when you see their jackets you see the iron crosses, the SS signs, the little flags and racist emblems displayed for all to see. how can you say that it's all about the music when you defile the image of your bretheren by proclaiming things involving genocide and mass-murder?
...
sorry, I'm ranting :s

2) about the "gabbers and skins aren't racist per se" I agree, reed my post, it says so ;)
but the name losndale already had a name before the gabbers took it on, it was a "skinhead brand" and you know what the man on the street (wrongly) thinks about skins, don't you?
the whole vandalism and hooligan thing didn't help of course. I see your point there. :)

3) partially explained in nr. 1 but to add, the way the girls tend to dress sometimes is seen in all scenes where there are raves. which is worrying because the gabber scene used to be different from the rest but now that you have jump, hardstyle and commercial hardcore on the sma e parties sometimes it gets you a mixed crowd and that sort of makes it loose the whole uniqueness... it indeed blows (unless you count in underground hardcore parties, not a gabber in sight! love those cuz there aren,'t any posers around :p)

4) I also wear what I like but that used to be typical gabber wear, now I'e simply added a few elements like spiked bracelets, rings, collar, eyeliner, all black attire, etc.
looks good on my ruffneck bomber and maxi too :p
I used to be proud of being a gabber as well, but now I simply dropped that name because I keep getting accosiated in ppl minds with the far-right scum I so oppose :s
I just call myself a hardcore-head now :)

Ah... And every one knows where Gabbers in Holland got their "look" from.
Seems that you Brittish skins were our roll model
Sadly, the look was taken over by neo's...
It's a sad past we Gabbers have...

Nah i disagree i find that in Australia raving is huge with the asian community, they love it and i love the asian women so it goes hand in hand lol. If you wanna talk racism i live a 40 minute drive from the Cronulla riots, dunno if you internationals heard about that?it was a sort of "stand up for Australians" day. Put simply all this racist crap is a joke as my good Tongan friend Sam Fusie once said "**** Aussies, **** Lebos, **** tongans.....lets just go out and have a killa nite" lol
