Especially from someone like 95_was_the_time who was about 9 years old at the time and likely not involved with the scene in any way.

I respect '95 hardcore, I like some of it but most of it i can't stand. I am not sure why though. Back on topic. I would delete all of B and S, SB, and every big name producer's files on there computer so they would have to stop making the same songs over again. There great but starting to get tiring. I would have everyone buy some production gear on this site and have everyone produce a track. See what new stuff people coem up with. Because there is probably someone in here right now that will blow us away one day with something completely different. Apollo, Ryg0r, Milo are on my list for the people that are going to do that.

teri... just to let you know. if you brought up a topic like this then you are bound to get UKr4veR and 95_was_the_time to say something that no one wants to hear. mainly because its all they talk about and its getting old.

seriously. stop ur senseless bickering and find another genre of music to say crap about. but for god sake not here.

Wow. That was an intelligent and well thought out response.

Maybe you and 95_was_the_time should shag each other and get it over with, hmmm?

I know what was awesome about 95 hardcore!!

It was all the hard and non-cheesy vocal anthems from Force & Styles, or the existance of lables like "Happy Traxx" or "Heaven Music Ltd".

Freakin idiot. 95 Hardcore is softer and more cheesy than current hardcore. And I mean no disrespect to any of those labels, or to Force & Styles.

But back to the topic, I would add more musicality, more complexity and more energy.

No really, I personally do not understand what was so great about 95 hardcore.

Music now is so well engineered and put together. Granted, the music before was raw and had an energy to it that cannot be replaced, BUT think of it this way.....

You have a pair of Jeans in high school. They are your most prized jeans and are so well put together that you wouldn't trade them for anything. Time passes, and the jeans become faded and old and torn and become generally outdated with the fasion. Ten years pass and the jeans are old and battered. Granted, they are still jeans and you COULD wear them, but does that mean that you want to? Are they something that you need to sustain life? Would you keep the attitude of, "Jeans were so well made ten years ago, and I won't have the jeans of today because they make my butt look big or, "INSERT NEGATIVE COMMENT HERE"

Now, would you just buy new jeans and try them out for size, or would you continue to rock the same raggard ass jeans to prove a point?

Same with hardcore. 95 music is now outdated and is hard to find and generally outgrown. No one produces it anymore.....Ever. And they won't produce it again because it does not sell anymore records and there is not enough draw for it anymore. I find it very hard to justify putting any records in my box that were made before 2003 because they no longer fit the format of today. Granted I love many many old tracks and would play them if given the chance, but I cannot find it in me to play them anymore. I will leave that to my friends that play older music and have a draw of crowd to see them play that style. I will continue to push upfront happy hardcore, note i said "HAPPY" hardcore, so I scour the net to find the freshest HAPPY hardcore I can get my hands on.

Thats what I currently do for my hardcore scene.

Seattle dj's push hardcore to the point that there is a hardcore room in most parties almost every weekend.

We all take pride in production, venues and shows that change the hardcore scene with leaps and bounds every weekend. Producing top quality hardcore tracks, we have promoters that put on some of the finest hardcore shows on the the map as far as I'm concerned and the VIBE that keeps kids and people young and old coming out every weekend to see the likes of

Jimni Cricket
Madora Mew
IanK
Doughboy
Dummy
Little Terror
and myself

Don't plan to make hardcore good in the future, make hardcore good NOW....

NOW IS THE TIME!!!

i hope I made some sense, I just wanted to show that there are some people in a small community making a giant impact with hardcore and we take no prisoners and make no bones about being hardcore.

Respect,

Bobby

but it didn't add anything to the topic, is that all you had to reply with for what I had said? At least I put some thought and time into it.
