don't worry, I've figured out the answer. It's because hard dance music isn't made anymore (I will exempt ophidian and jon doe from that statement).

(gives it the impression of an echoing kick because of the type of bass they're using)

double bass is where theres two bass stabs.

some of the makina i've played have this double bass/kick thing. "LML - Sinfonia Digital" (Bit Music) is one of them

That Realise song sounds more it has a distorted hihats than it has double bass/kicks, or they're so close to eachother, as you said, the compression kills it
