this was also going through my head...maybe his account was hijaccked?...by 95_was_the_time?!?!?!
well that can't be it. 95 is incapable of making an "argument" longer than 3 sentences, and has to mention hixxy, breeze, styles, and/or re-con and the word shit in every one of those sentences.

Daaaamn, this guy is a douche ! If this is the art of mixing of these days we all better try to stay oldschool..... I'd also hate these guys hanging around behind the decks, any DJ doing real work would give them a headshot !
Btw he looks like the bright teenage version of Milli Vanilli. Boy you know it's true....

That's right. Do YOU mix in your bedroom using CD decks? You're so behind the times! AND untalented, in fact I bet you're ALL jealous that you can't mix like this:
Yeah... 1 unused CD deck, M-Audio Trigger Finger, a mainly unused mixer and a macbook.
I'm not kidding, when I heard about people mixing like this I thought it was a bit of a joke blown out of proportion. I see this and I'm thinking "Surely he doesn't do this in front of the big crowds right?
watch the end of the vid...what the hell? Do people really do this? I'm literally bemused at what I'm seeing here, they're all eating this up? What's going on? I'm seeing comments like "SKRILLEX IS GOD" I don't even..
Americans, I know that dubstep has been phasing in and out of your raves over there and some like it and some don't, but can anyone confirm that this stuff actually happens? Does everyone know he's basically not doing anything at all? What? Argh, this is too much I can't even phrase it right. Just everyone add your comments about these videos in the thread.

Not sure if that comment you wrote is having a go or what but anyway my hubby (Mortis) still mixes from time to time on his decks with his vinyl and also by mixing with his cd's decks. He really is passionate about what he does and goes through each mix making sure all sounds well etc He really does have talent and determination and i get my own little bedroom rave and get reminded on all my favourite old skool sounds that broght me to liking happy hardcore
Also our childrn have grown up with hardcore even before Mortis was here living with us and they love his mixes and even get a little wiggle from our little girl Anna when he plays tunes on pc

Didn't watch the vid til 04.26 before.... What the hell is this prick doing there? This *sshole even doesn't have the spine to be honest that he stupidly used the wrong switch. His acting of beeing cut by "mysterious" problems of the power supply is probably the worst thing I've ever seen!
The second vid is also ridiculous but on both sides of the stage. Using one single distortion knob makes him feeling like a god and the crowd even loves him for doing such crap. I just don't get it. IMO people should have run away and give him a crash landing when he was doing his stage diving shit (which I've never seen from a DJ before)
As "Shirley & Company" would sing: Shame, shame, shame.... shame on you ! ! !

Music aside, not really a PA performance and not really a DJ performance, might as well have pressed play on an ipod would have had the same effect.

In this case somebody had stolen his battery at 04.26.....

pushing bitterness aside and so on, apparently Skrillex recently had 2 laptops stolen from his hotel room and their hard drives and is calling out for someone to give them back because he has allegedly lost an entire album's worth of work and had a bunch of project files on them:
"Just gonna set it strait. I had 2 laptops and both of my hard drives stolen out of my hotel in Milan Italy last month. On those laptops and drives were all the project files of Skrillex. All gone now. Also I had a new album that is now gone too. I spent a week pulling my hair out but now im just focussing on the future and re making my album."
sooo..the guy has never heard of backups and takes his studio laptop around traveling with him. Hate to say 'I told you so' because I don't believe we should accept thievery as part of society but either way, would this have happened/been half as bad if he had his tunes on CDs in a wallet?
well his fault. most of the smarter producers out there do their production at a desktop, but of course you should always backup your stuff. plenty of online services, and you can even carry a portable external HD with a lot of gb and it'll fit safely in your pocket.

Maybe that skinhead look doesn't fit to him so well.....
Btw does anyone believe that story? Would anyone of you take his full stuff on a travel without storing some backups at home? Of course none would be that stupid, same as none would change his full bank account into cash just to travel around with bags full of money. IMO it isn't more than a weak excuse for a lack of creativity. Probably he couldn't answer the expectations of his "fans", but again he didn't have the spine to be honest. For me it's quite similar to the situation when he switched off the channel.
Unfortunately most people don't give a shit for a good performance so there's no need for him to have true skills. Inventing some stories and doing some stage diving crap made him get a huge recognition so maybe this might be the future way of beeing a music artist. Hopefully not.....

I'm not gonna jump to conclusions on him but I think that is a problem with basing your music around having the heaviest bass or whatever; it doesn't make your music very flexible at all. Weren't most of his songs remixes of stuff like Benni Bennassi and La Roux and stuff anyway?
pff either way I can smell another deadmau5-type "celebrity" electronic music producer who gets up everyone's nose eventually

This is an everyday thing nowadays. It does irritate me when I hear / see dj's when they are mixing and it sounds like a ton of galloping horses riding by. When I hear a song poorly mixed - usually a simple cross fade in/out and both tracks not even close in tempo it makes me wish I was there doing it. Maybe that's part jealousy but I know I would never even perform if I was that bad. I like people who express themselves with music. I just don't like it when they don't put in the effort and reap the rewards. I can understand where you are coming from Neko.
If that really was the case and he cut the power on purpose. He should simply be exposed for taking his little bunny rabbits for a ride.
