not bad I enjoyed but it sounds more Electro than Dubstep. Electro has more of a beat and a groove whereas Dubstep is just...well, Dubstep.
that's also some nice electro.
sorry not trying to be facetious or anything but just want to make sure nobody gets any funny ideas that Dubstep might actually be good! The main part starts at 2:00

Yeah it's definately pretty much Electro. Just has the same style bass as in Dubstep. Incidentaly i generally hate both where their commercial aspects are concerned but that's actually a pretty good tune. Has a good groove. I should dislike it but i don't.

Agreed, I find that the only dubstep I really like is mixed with electro, house or DnB, such as the Skrillex's Scary Monsters Nice Sprites EP.

for me what made it pleasing was the electro elements. It's about as electro as hardcore is these days. I find straight up dubstep very boring and not very melodic at all - which i can't relate to.
There are only two dubstep track that get me going. This, and 'Set me on fire' by pendulum. No surprises why i like pendulum's attempt at dubstep, as they've always been on the more melodic side of their drum and bass, and this carried over into their dubstep.

are Pendulum doing dubstep now? I stopped listening when they brought out In Silico, horrendous album IMHO

Rob Swire of Pendulum has made a drumstep remix of Witchcraft, too.
The intro is quite boring but the drop is MASSIVE!!
the thing is about all that kind of stuff is that you can't really dance to it, it's far too slow. I can dance to house so I don't have that problem with electro as long as it isn't too abstract and gets lost in it's own bass.
Pendulum stopped getting interesting when they started singing on their tracks, it was just a bit too cheesy for me then, not to mention all their stuff sort of sounded the same. I dunno which track it was but there was a music video for it and it was something like a guy was in a rage because some girl had left him, it was so corny and I really cringed for them, I was holding out that their 3rd album would be a bit more like HYC but I saw that video and just thought "nah"
I liked Still Grey, Tarantula, Submarines, Girl in the Fire, Babylon Rising, Sounds of Life and Hold Your Colour
But yeah back to the thread, I've never been that impressed by lots of bass, even in hardcore. so dubstep doesn't do sod all for me. What I like about electro is the tacky 80s neon imagery and how the music often reflects that with all the squiggly synths and stuff, couldn't listen to a whole night of it though
