they're on dvd now? sweet i'll buy both indigo & johto, maybe the orange league. i really didn't like those all that much, mostly b/c of that pokemon sketcher (tracy i think his name was)

His name is Tracy Sketchit. I can't believe I remembered that. Ugh.
Don't take this the wrong way but I've never liked the show. None of the characters have any real personality to them, and the plots range from filler to borderline retarded.

Like with other anime and game franchises, Pokemon is a lot more popular in Japan with adults than it is elsewhere.
It irks me when people say "it's for children" like it makes a difference in the legitimacy or quality of whatever it is. I think too many people are uncomfortable admitting they like things not deemed socially acceptable to like at their age and feel uncomfortable when others do the same.
It's not any less legitimate to like anything at any age. However a majority of adults liking something designed for children is very strange, if it is indeed designed for children. As for the accuracy of what i said, i wasn't trying to be serious about it, i don't actually care.

but it is still lacking a lot to attract more ppl to the franchise on a console game rather than handheld
zelda is way more adventurous than this, and the gameplay imo lacks a lot of what the handheld games have, besides the obvious stuff like no pokemon trainer, capturing, etc
