This year I liked:
Floorbiz Bonanza - Darwin & Sam B
Tell the DJ - Gavin G
Remember the Day - Marc Smith & Al Storm
and some tracks from Nu Foundation... Watcha Say, Taking My Time, Power of Goodbye, Swept Away... they're all either remixes or rips but he's making cool stuff :o)

And others, in no specific order
Creative synergy - Beware of my trance (ponder remix)
DJ Sharpnel - Entagled Night
Darren Styles - Universe
Jervis & Hoj - Malice in Wonderland
Fracus & Darwin - When I saw the Rain or Fly against the Wind (Technically it's Bang!, but Nick Arnold only wrote the lyrics)
RoughSketch - Asphalt & Flower (Hellsystem remix)
Alek Szahala - Astraia

Styles & Re-con - Smack you like a bitch [Hate this style but love this song, strange]
Madeon - Shuriken [We all heard it in the FL9.5 advert on youtube - amazing track]
Skampy - (Dont Make Me Get) OldSkool [Vacuum Music track that holds allot of new and old elemnts. Love the piano line in this!]
Joey Riot - Enchanted [I love this song because its so different - and not something I'll hear in another tune. Minimal sort of style, but then sweeps into heavenly sounds]
ABJ, Moo-D & Burnzy - She Looks Like a Goat [So funny :)]
Brett Cooper - Hardcore Disco [Such a nice track, using Renard vocals in a much more hardcore twist. Great track.]
Nu Foundation - In Your Head [There were one or two mixes released early this year that I liked allot. Great tune]
Kevin Energy - Freeform will never die [Either version is amazing, and spells out what music really is about - despite being on an album that spelt out the contrary]
Synthwulf - Star Ocean [Beautiful Freeform track - From a lad that I hope goes far!]
Kesean Beat - Tea Time [Never released, but I love how well written it was - production wasnt perfect - which is why I'd love the opportunty to remix it, or work on it somehow]
Little Fella - Can You Dig It? [Can you? I dug this because its generally a good track.]
Jervis & Hoj - Vermin [Funny track, and shows you out what these guys are all about - new - different - and exciting. Great track!]
Fracus & Darwin Feat. Kyla - Out Of Control [One of many tracks I could select from the HU2010 album - but this was the one that stood out for me]
Ham Feat. SOUL - Run 2 U [Love this track, reminds me of the 2005's and whatnot with Hardcore nation 3 etc... wonderful track]
they were in no order, Ive forgotten loads, but imo its been a good year for hardcore. Its experimented in numerous styles - some I wasnt sure on - but i think theres been allot of innovation in areas more people should explore.

Synthwulf was better before.. could it be because he got better at production quality? :o

If he was better before that means he got worse.
No, the quality and technical parts of his tracks may have improved, which means the songs can have a perfect cristal-clear sound, but that doesn't mean they're good. The idea can be crap ;) I'm sure that's what Samination wanted to say, he's concentrating more on the technical things than on stuff like writing good melodies etc.

That wasn't what i was suggesting though. Concentrating on production elements at the expense of the music is what i meant, or in the case of Hardcore doing it because they don't have the skills to do concentrate on the music to begin with. Even with concentrating on technical matters most of the music is still extremely poorly engineered.

Brisk and Ham - Fire & Flames
Brisk & Fracus - Rock da Bass (Does this count)
Fracus feat. Taya - Next To Me (Nu Foundation mix) (Does this count?)
Sparkle and Buzzman - Carry Me Home
Sparkle and Buzzman - Are you the One
There's probably more from early 2010 I can't remember!

+1
I wouldn't say it's true for everyone but I think yeah, I think people are thinking too much about the little 'hooks' like "Oh listen to that bassline" or "I love the synth stabs" as opposed to making something that just all-round kicks arse not just in hardcore but in music as a whole.

Yup that's it... Dude, appart of the fact of me posting on this board, you don't know what I do, and you've never heard anything from me - so don't judge someone when you're not in the right position to do so! If I ever judge your whole Zonkers thing (for which I actually supported you) then it would be because I've seen the idea and everything what's happened...
I go to SAE now which is the School of Audio Engineering (one of the best) and I think I know what I am talking about - when you do a song, there are TWO things: The idea, which reflects your creativity, the fact if you're open-minded or not, your potential, etc.. stuff like this. And then there's the quality: Do you know how to engineer a track? How do get a crystal clear sound out of your productions? How to avoid tracks sounding muddy? This is technical stuff. I'll give you an example: Let's say a singer, he might know how to sing, he might have taken thousands of lessons and he's always hitting the right notes, thus never singing wrong: but if the lyrics are crap, they're crap. It's the same everywhere. The song "Damaged" by Harry H has an amazing idea - great vocals, awesome melody, just a masterpiece of a track. But the quality is terrible - fair play, he did it when he was 15 (his new stuff couldn't sound better by the way). And then there are tracks like pretty much all of the new stuff, might sound proffesionally produced but completely shit idea behind the whole track. I hope you understand this now :o)
