Bought a few Hardcore CD singles from a popular online store with labels like Twister, Liquid Hardcore, Relentless and Australia with Force. Think I'm going to buy these instead of downloads. Get 3 tunes on each disc and sound way better than a lot of my downloads. So many downloads tracks sound thinner and sometimes softer than my CD singles.
To me download=****ing ripp off when there is no quality in the recording. Specially when 12's and CD singles are so cheap.
What are your thoughts on Hardcore CD singles??? Do you think more labels will start releasing them??

my guess is you got them from hardbeatsdownload? they have a lot of them.
i believe the faster the internet speed for download, the better quality the tracks come out. i think tho that mp3 downloads are better b/c of convenience. shipping can take awhile depending on where you live, then there's the added cost of shipping. and also cds will start taking up space. these are the reasons why i haven't purchased any, only mixed comp. cds.
and i dont think they're gonna become any more popular than what they are now. most labels are limiting the amount of vinyl it produces, or stop alltogether. and we're seeing far less compilations being released on cds.

For me, CD's, vinyls and other tangeable forms of music are centimental.

No no nooo, I don't have anything to contribute to the thread here but that's not how it works; it doesn't make a difference what speed you download any kind of file, you'll get the same file of the same quality in the end. I don't know the answer to the question here but just to let you know that download speed is not a factor.

i think he meant it will be easier to get WAV or FLAC files rather than MP3 and AAC.
AND the quality from a WAV/FLAC will not DIFFER from a CD. IF the quality is shit on CD, it will be shit on other formats too.
Only time a WAV will differ from CD, is if the CD is SACD, which I think can contain more than 2 streams (stereo, left and right)

I prefer CD and/or Vinyl. Partly because I like to have a physical product versus digital. With a CD or Vinyl, I can easily rip it to my PC in either WAV or 320kpbs MP3.
Another reason, I can get like 10 tracks for around $10~$15 USD, give or take. That works out to about $1 to $1.50 per track. That is cheaper than buying the MP3 version only to have it at 192 or 244 kpbs. Where, as stated above, I can just buy the CD, and rip it as I want to. Not to mention WAV format, which varies in the $2 to $3 price range for just one track.
Even just 3 to 4 tracks on a CD that cost between $5~$10, your still saving money and have more options at your disposal.

When CD singles where sold in Sweden, they went for from between 29 to 55SEK (I think the dollar was stronger back then, so i could get about 10SEK/USD), that's basicly ~35SEK for 3 tracks

Hardbeatsdownload best website for purchasing singles you like better then actually going into a music shop and buying them from there.

i personally think it's a great website overall. i think i'm going to buy exclusively from this store unless there's a track/label i can't find on there then i'll have to go to another site
i like how u can d/l a track up to 3 times and as far as i kno there is no expiration date on them. helpful if 1 day ur computer crashes and u didn't get a chance to back up ur current purchases.
