that most be a france-only thing, cause all the tracks i've bought so far have only been either the 192 DRM protected M4P files, or 256 DRM free M4A, and so far i've bought atleast 100 tracks

is hardcore revolution only available in 256kbps?? that's 1 of the albums that i've been trying to look for in 320kbps but wanted to buy it from iTunes just to get the feel of the quality. I have a free iTunes gift card coming in the mail soon so i'll buy some things with that and if i'm satisfied i'll keep iTunes in my list of mp3 stores

I don't know where he got this information from, but itunes DO NOT sell MP3. the highest quality I can see, is the "Itunes Plus" tracks, which are 256 AAC-LC tracks, which are DRM free.

i bought some daft punk ones in mp3 and they were not plus. altho that was almost 3 years ago i have no clue what the formats are now i'll just have to google my answers seeing as there's no definite correct one here.

what i know they switched from the DRM-laced AAC files about 2½ :(
maybe swedish itunes are ****ed

i just told about my personal experience, i don't remember the name tracks because that was a long time ago, maybe 2 years but i can say that was mp3, trust me or not, i don't care to be honest, i just wanted to help kindly latininxtc
maybe itunes has changed, i don't know...

well you'll have to excuse me, but you did say you bought only 5 tracks, and while i've bought about 100 (from all different kinds of genre's) and I have yet to see an mp3 :/
Anyways, I'm sorry if I was harsh. But if someone could point out which tracks on itunes are mp3, i will gladly check it out and prove myself wrong (that's there no mp3's there)

the thing i remember about that were apple gave me 5 credits for free (because they did something they shouldn't with my account), but the tracks, i can't tell you, it was on my old computer i sold more than 1 year ago
but maybe i'm wrong, i never said i'm always true, everybody makes mistakes, but i remember when i sorted my music from itunes, i saw on a column: mp3, i would swear to it
or itunes recognize m4a as an mp3 ?
