I don't see any on here?
Everytime I read a topic on USH, there's all the big hardcore producers replying.. whereas here I never see any of them, why don't they spend their time on here instead of over there?
But I know that many read this forum, since they always reply when something is about them ( Joey Riot -> Joey Riot topic, Technikal -> Fireflies Technikore Remix Topic, Luna-C -> the topic about all the artists and the bad quality of their tracks, Brisk -> DJ Brisk quitting Hardcore topic, etc .. )
Which means they do read the forums but none of them ever reply to normal topics, instead they go over there to USH.
Tell me if I'm wrong please!

That's what I don't understand, I thought the place for civilized and cultivated people is over here?
And why is it more active? This site has been up for longer than USH as far as I know! Maybe HappyHardcore.com just needs more promotion?
Also, do you think the site design might affraid some people? When I first discovered HHC.com, I didn't really like its look and it didn't make me want to post on here. But now I got used to it, I think it's fine and shouldn't be changed.

There is nothing on here worth them posting on, generally. Ush is also older than this site. On ush there is far more posts from people actually involved in the scene, here there is next to none so nothing to really reply to.

Absolutely not. I find it confusing to imagine anyone could find any problems with it.

Well, it looks a bit old. But I really don't mind it!
Really, USH has been up for longer than HappyHardcore.com!? I thought it came like 3 years later or something! wow
And what exactly do you mean with "people involved in the scene", you mean more people who go out etc? I don't understand why they don't post on here, HappyHardcore.com is so much better and has so much more to offer if you ask me, including a great radio channel linked to one of the biggest radio stations in the world (di.fm).

Well the majority of ush is English and are involved in the scene in that they either work within it or at least go to raves etc. On this site it's mostly 16 year olds who don't go out to raves much and don't really have much idea about the actual scene. If you spent enough time on ush you'd soon understand the difference.

Ush is a funny old place. Defo the home of hardcore hence why the big names post on there... But one really has to define big names...
This site is kinda old looking... I wouldnt of thought that would of stopped anyone from posting.
Ush used to be brill for winding people up... Might get back to it at some point... They love it.. Helps there working day. Thats anotjer major difference between the sites... Too many wingers on here who take offence far too easy

it definitely has to be this considering that most ppl here have stopped being involved with the scene either because they've outgrown the scene but not the music, or they just flatout don't go for fear of being surrounded by "chavs"
most interesting convos here tend to revolve around the older hardcore rather than the new, probably why we don't see as much news being posted on the front page of the site as before.

Most artists have very little time for this sort of thing. As far as I can tell, we all just search our names, or our labels, to check what's going on. It sounds like its ego, and probably is a little bit, but when you run a business you have to be aware of what is being said about it, so its healthy to check websites etc for the current opinions and how things are being received (or not).
I rarely have time to get involved with outside discussions, and sometimes when I do, I cant be bothered because its old ground covered again and again. Many ravers pass through these boards in a space of 2 or 3 years, but I have been doing this since 1992, so I don't feel like talking about the benefits of CDs vs Vinyl again and again.
ANother reason this board is quieter is that all boards are quieter than they were. People use Facebook and Soundcloud and Twitter, or their own blog or website - forums are kinda dated nowadays.
I find it all a bit boring to be honest. MySpace is just everyone advertising at each other, Facebook is basically spying on you (hence me not being on it), and Twitter is pure ego. And I dont understand Dont Stay In at all lol. So I speak publicly on my blog, mostly.
USH has, as far as I am aware, always been the central forum for hardcore. There is no real reason for it, the same way there is no real reason for Dogs On Acid to be the D'n'B place to go. Its just how things end up. So its natural for the big names to go there to make comments, as it will probably spread through the rest of the forums, if it is important enough.
It does help that USH is in the UK tho, because of the time difference. Conversations start earlier, and when the site started, the UK rave scene was bigger and more coherent. It may still be like that, hence it still being busier than most. But USH is a lot less busy than it was a few years back.
