In 1995 an event was born based on the idea of a reasonably priced party with a bunch of great local DJs and a vibe only created by us for the party people. That event was Utopia, and on a cold night in July of '95 the first Utopia was held. Over the course of the next few years the Utopia event grew in size and morphed from an underground party to a legally promoted event in advertised venues. The step-up to these was a larger legal warehouse in Homebush which brought in giant crowds, often doubling the amount of patrons from the previous event. From Utopia 7 to 10, the attendances doubled each time going from 1800 to 3200, then to 6000 and finally a staggering 10,000 people at Utopia 10 at Wonderland.
Now in 2010, Utopia is known as the leading all-night dance party in Australia, and is one of the biggest events of its type in the world. It's been running for a crazy 15 years, and that in itself is an outstanding achievement. It's a milestone that no other Sydney all-night party has reached. 15 years of supplying absolute killer parties, absolutely brilliant International, interstate and local talents, and absolutely phenomenal productions.

With his vast musical knowledge and experimental ability, Darren Styles is one of the biggest names in hard dance music and one of the greatest Hardcore DJs. Originally part of the mighty Force & Styles with hits under his belt such as Pretty Green Eyes and Field of Dreams, Darren soon became one of the biggest names in UK hardcore. He has since collaborated with fellow hardcore producer and DJ Mark Breeze creating tracks like Youre Shining, Heartbeatz and 'You're My Angel'.

Darren has won a number of hardcore awards during his career recently including Best DJ 2006 and 2007, Best Producer 2006 and 2008, Best Hardcore Tune 2006, 2008 and 2009. After joining The Third Movement under the watchful eye of DJ Promo, T-Junction released his first track with D-Passion Checkmate. Luna is one of the biggest Hardstyle DJs to come out of Holland. He has released several successful tracks, including So Many More, 'We Control The Sound, 'Hear Me Now, Rush, 'Funky Shit, 'In Control and, recently, the pounding theme song Nows The Time. Luna has played such massive Holland events as Defqon.1, Mysteryland, and his own one-man show in the massive Geldredome Stadium in 2005. His career was rocketed mainly by the way he presents himself behind the decks, his fabulous mixing skills and the total dedication and passion for his work. The Acer Arena is one of the most exciting and innovative entertainment complexes in the world! The Utopia Arena allows plenty of scope to transform the space into a dance event of universal proportions, with its mammoth ceilings and stadium-like settings only the most electrifying atmosphere is inevitable.
DRESS THE PART PARTY MONSTER
If you have ever read the book, seen the documentary or movie "PARTY MONSTER" you will know what I am talking about. Dress as freaky, kandy and as outrageous as possible. Let the "normal" people of the world think, Ohmigod, where on earth are those people going tonight? Party Monster dress code is all about having fun and being different from the norm. We are ravers and we should act like ravers and all get dressed up to the max. For those people who are thinking of wearing boring old I want to be a LAD stripy shirts, skin caps, shaved legs and dance like a chicken: this party is NOT for you!!!!
Special prizes will be awarded to the best dressed Party Monster on the night! Tickets for best dressed will be issued at the door on arrival, so arrive in style people! Winners of these door prizes will have a chance to show off their outfits on the main stage and the person with the best outfit of the night will receive a free annual pass to all Powerhouse events plus get a chance to dance on the main stage for most of the night and hang in the VIP area and meet and greet all the international and local DJs.
DOOR POLICY
Both body pat-downs and bag searches on entry. Anyone found with any prohibited items will be denied entry into the event.
Roaming security teams inside the venue will ensure the event is trouble-free during the event.
Zero tolerance policy on violence and anti-social behaviour.
Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry.
Promoter reserves the right to remove anyone breaking the rules from the event.
No Lads or Lad Clothing. Example - Stripped polo shirts or Skin Baseball caps.
Anyone wearing prohibited clothing inside the venue will be removed from the event.
Weapons, illegal drugs, alcohol and chewing gum are prohibited.
Markers and all graffiti tools are strictly prohibited. Anyone found to have these items on them will be refused entry.
If youre not coming for the love of the music and the scene, then please dont come at all.
Acer Arena Security and Local Police will ensure these policies are enforced throughout the event.
Utopia is for people 16 years of age and above. Alcohol can be obtained with 18+ photo ID.

TRANSPORT INFORMATION
The Acer Arena is a relaxed 1 min walk to the Sydney Olympic Park Station. For those driving in, there is a giant secure multi-storey car park directly behind the centre. Late night buses will be running from the venue all night to connect to Strathfield Station which has an all night service.

I totally respect many points, which are mentioned here, but this one is absolutely ridicolous! If chewing gum is forbidden, because people spit it out on the ground, simply go ahead and tell the scene not to do so and order enough rubbish bins.
Why is soap-bubble not forbidden as well? Some ravers might get hit by one in her/his eye and start to cry!
