Tbh i think that the mc's in the hardcore genre are good but some can be anoying high pitch voices etc etc aswell as some can ruin tunes...... but theres the reson theres a volume for the mike on a mixer :L

funny how people who have been to events to hear MC's (Master of Ceremonies!! as in LIVE) have much closer to spot on opinions...imo lol
reasons for MC hating in Hardcore.
a) most are not any good, are in fact shyte because of the small number of people who actually wrtie to/for hardcore compared to basically any other type of music that i know of. and even smaller numbers exclusively to hardcore
b) yes. a lot of lyrics are completely unrelated to either the song playing, or the party, i.e. just rhyming for the sake of it as opposed to adding to the vibe/hyping up the crowd. this comes because of 2 reasons, some people are just that stupid. and some people find it restricting to write la la la lyrics about being happy and throwing hands up and hardcore! and all that shit that you all say you hate anyways all the time.
c) too many MC's at events. this is why they are annoying. **** if theres just one MC per hour set by 12 your on to th 4th MC already, i dont really wanna listen to your or shout on command or put my ****in hands up...i would if i hadnt done it all ****in night already. Nobody wants to hear mc's all night except well...MC's. maybe....(i am refering to MC's the way that i believe people mean it on this thread, but it should be noted all parties should have an MC what you might call a "host" introduce and wrap up acts just for general intrest, respect to the artists, and its the most conventional way to fill in the slight gap between DJ's that i personally feel is nessisary)
i'll cut it of there with those are completely legit reasons to hate on Hardcore MCing. and there are others. so why the hell do i like them and MC myself? well. the reason i listen to hardcore in the first place personally, is because at its best either live, or a CD at a house party, or shit even busting out some homework or working out. nothing can touch hardcore, at its best, Nothing imo. there are other genres that make me feel different. but not the same. its same with MC's. at the best party you can think of without MC's, if you added just one talented MC at the right time, watch out, cuz its another level.
that is my 2 or 3 cents.
*edit oh and i too like Fingaz for the record LOL
