I'm fairly certain it's illegal to host full tracks on youtube without label and artist permission. Youtube rips are a big problem.

Lots of people do this, its called remixing a track. Although personally i think if you are to do something like this you should name the track properly. As a "Remix".

its not a remix, it's a remake or "cover"
Its actually generally acceptable to have your own artist name when making a cover...
Not just in dance music - bands do it all the time, everything from punk to pop. Especially pop singers. Some have released ALBUMS of covers.
Besides, it's not exactly plagiarism when it's made into a different genre - at least that's being creative instead of taking an old pop song, and doing a pop cover 10 years later. *rolls eyes*
It's something that is EXTREMELY common within hardcore. *SO* many songs are covers it's ridiculous. Technically he could sue... but he wont. Given the proper credit it doesn't really affect him at all, it actually gives him more exposure. Also, the amount the track made is worth virtually nothing to someone who wrote the twilight soundtrack - not even really worth his time.
