You'll eventually get to a point to where you still like the tracks, but they just won't appeal to you as they do now. When I got Bonkers 14, I hammered "I Know" by Vibes & Hattrixx, and now when I play it, I just feel like "eh...". I think you should focus on the actual tracks being made today instead of who's making them. Hardcore Underground vol.3 had many great tracks, along with Bonkers, Clubland X-Treme Hardcore 4, & 5, Hardcore Nation 2009, etc. Now, before you say anything, I love the old skool sound just as much as you do, but I still look for new and exciting tracks.
Im always looking for new an exciting stuff but I never find it with thr newer stuff so im always listening to old stuff because to me a tune is only old if i have heard it before lol

Weeeeeelll punk is another story, because it's not just about music. It's about an anti-establishment way of life, so yes, the punk band signing to a commercial label isn't truly "punk", and therefore bad for the punk core.
