generally horrible bar a few exceptions
Ant Johnson is good sometimes
I liked Sharkey's vocal tune on Bonkers 17
Francis Hill has been good from what I've heard
The rest are pretty lame IMO. Re-Con has talent but I just don't like male vocals that much.
Styles is very hit or miss. Feel Love was an amazing track with TOTALLY sub-par vocals. absolutely terrible. On the other hand, I liked the skydivin vocals...
It's funny how male vocals are "gay" in rave music but female vocals are "gay" in "normal people" music.
I definitely prefer female vocals. Maybe if I liked hearing men talk about love and such I'd like male vocals more...but I don't. And female vocals are higher pitched, and I generally like higher pitched stuff better.

i think i prefer no vocals, just because im reading a book, doesnt mean i need pictures to help me imagine whats going on..
like wise i dont need lyrics to TELL me what the song should be about
ive heard pieces of music ruined too many times by weak vocals, and stupid lyrics.

that only goes for people who are fans of electronica. you go and show a hardcore song with female vocals to a "normal person" and they will think what you listen to is gay. well that's mainly for here in the states but i imagine that ther ewill be similer responses there

lol :P it wasnt such a bad comparison
images in books are there to BE the picture for you, insted of using your imagination to form the images in the same way that vocals in lyrics tell you what the music is supposed to be insted of drawing your own assumptions form your feelings...

But vocals are a part of music. Usually images aren't part of books so that would just be a bit weird.
vocals are a part of music, but it's an optional part. you don't need vocals to call it music. ppl used to think electronica was not music if it had no vocals, which i heatedly disagree. classical music is music, and there are no vocals in it
and quicksilver Triquatra made a decent comparison. it makes sense to me, although I don't think you would think "coke in the nose" without the vocals in injured rezz and the MD's song
