everytime I open the main page of the website it takes a while before I can do anything else, I think its because all those youtube videos pasted in the news
its a little annoying... I counted about 56 videos!!
perhaps there should be a limit of time the videos can be there...
or have other page especifically for this
if somebody comes in for the first time and finds a slow site probably would leave before it finish loading...

I do not find the main page slow. Took me like 5 seconds to open it. I actually think threads with pictures and youtube links much slower

i can see a slight decrease in speed in the front page compared to when there used to be no videos - or maybe just one or two of tv commercials that were airing in the UK.
it shouldnt make it too much slower unless you actually click a video, in which case theres no way to stop it loading the entire video without refreshing the page (which could screw up active topics for one)
so if you are say wanting to actually listen to the videos on the front page, by the time you have clicked three or four of them - they are all trying to load, hogging your connection and making the 3rd/4th/5th video you're trying to view load very slowly indeed..

i,ve been having alot of problems when i come on 2 this site 4 a while now(apart from 2day lol)thought it might have been my computer but every other site was working ok at normal speed,i was actually meant 2 post 2 see if any other people were having these problems and it turns out there are

We only post new releases once a week, perhaps I'll only post A sides from now on and a link to the B to cut down on the flash. Alternatively if you have news to post (to help bump the latest releases off the main page) please post it :)

If you could post the YouTube with just a bar that doesn't show the video, it would help out some people. When you load the site (as I know you know, but I'll tell just to tell), your computer has to render those videos like pictures, which takes up RAM and CPU workload.
