the most imbarising fing i have done is play the tune, but forget to bring the crossfder over. im standing there for a couple of minuites nodding my head, then realise that their aint no sound coming out. i look at my mixer, and there it is. crossfader on channel 2, tune playing on channel 1.
luckly i had an excuse for that poor use of observation skills...
... i had had a bit 2 drink, so i didnt get to much stick for it. still it was embarising
another time was when i was mixing out of vinly in2 cd. good mix, all beatmatched and that. bring it over. what do i do? i stop the cd. for a split second i fogot that it was palying on cd and stopped the cd to put another 1 in. all i cud say 2 myself was WHAT A TIT!vlol

Pressing "Cue" on the wrong Cd Deck
The CD Equilivlent of pulling the needle off the wrong vinyl, however, i did it twice in the same set, heh.

i think i might have done that as well. im sure i have mad pretty much every mistake u cud make, n i hav only been DJin 4 a couple of years

2 right. i think its only natural to make a mistake in a mix though. its got to balance out. the laws of physics wouldn't let u complete a pervect mix, even if the mixing ability was perfect. especialy if your me, because half the time i muck it up under my own stupidity. when im mixing in the clubs it will be:
"who is mixing 2nyt?"
"DJ K.U.L.E"
"who is that then?"
"the 1 who always makes a pigs ear out of his sets"

This was years ago, but I was soooo into the track that was playing that I forgot to cue up the next record. With about 20 seconds to go, I ducked down to grab a record and throw it on deck. Problem was i tossed it on the deck that was already playing. It made the worst sound that I have ever heard. I stood back up to face about 400 ravers staring at me. All I could do was grab a mic and say "uhhhh...sorry".
I still hear about that from friends who were there.

another embarising thing i have done is shoved a mixed CD on and let it play all the way through. it was only when it was on the 4th tune that i realised that i wasnt doing anything but it was stil playing. i fort to myself "this is a very long track"
how wrong was i.
when people listen to my sets they can see humor of it all, which is gud, because i feel lyk a ryt tit at v tym

Ha, one thing DJ Kule...It seems to me that if all of these story's of your mishaps are real, then you will certainly get your name known. It sounds like your sets will be pure comedy.
