So who really thinks we should get rid of this silly cartoon outlook on hardcore, get rid of the childish shit what seems to be hanging with it at the moment. It's still childish outside the UK and always will be but it's UK I care about. Who thinks we should have more mature looks on these albums like on Hardwired/Hardcore tunez etc.

And I only want people who can give some good points not "omg lol we shud keep the cartoon look cuz itz abot a bit of fun stop beni so serious". just shut your trap, I dont want your bollocks, useless, mundane posts, you will be ignored anyway.

I totally agree. We should take out raves too cause you know when I think of raves I think of little candy kids bouncing around on acid. I think hardcore should only be played in clubs because it gives it a more mature feel since y'know, adults go to clubs and kids go out to the middle of the desert and get wasted at raves. Cause y'know image is everything and if there arent raves then people won't go "omg you listen to hardcore you are a pillhead cause you go to raves".

Cartoons, Gay. Hardcore, Hardcore. They just don't fit together. I got back into hardcore last year because it's evolved soooo much.. It floats my boat now more than ever, and the cartoon shit is like a hanger on from when it was seen as a joke. Like a mate no-one is really mates with anymore.. Let the toons go, they belong in boy-band-land with the other gays!!

erm... were all missing one slightly huge thing here though....

theres "hardcore" and "happy-hardcore"

Hardcore = cartoons bad
Happy hardcore = cartoons good

[rant]
@Ukr4veR
please for the love of god, stop it already! like zelachang said just now and in his large post before, stop with the flaming! ppl make music, some ppl like it, some ppl dont. get over it! i read post after post, with this is not hardcore ect ect, its softcore, no dj sammy, sunlight is softcore, its club/scouse or wtf else, music ect ect. just because something is 5 bpm slower than something else does not make it worse!

if that was the case everything would be played at 1gazzillion bpm. and as for "hard"well, every song has its own sound/feel ect. if u want to hear harder faster ect, then go buy urself a mahoosive sub and amp, and get a massive square wave kick going at what ever bpm u like as loud as it will go, untill ur internal organs rupture and ur bowels empty out onto the floor or whatever.

its all about the music, doing what u want to do and respecting other people. whats that i hear u cry? im not respecting u and ur oppinion? well actually, i did the first time u said it. and the second, and the 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th 11th 12th 13th 145th 2342nd ect. and so what about certain releases with cartoons all over them?

Granted they should be putting the word "happy" infront of hardcore, to be a little more specific. but so what? if u are insecure enough to have to make a post on an internet forum complaining that the scene u like doesent look serious and grown up enough, so any ppl who talk to u and find out what u like wont laugh at u. or whatever other reason u post. go "join the gabber scene", as this is what u seem to like.

I really am not a fan of gabber, (though partial to a few tunes) but my main love is for "happy hardcore" i like bonkers as it is. and anyway.. who is it that is making u buy hardcore nation/bonkers anyway? who makes u go to a rave loaded up with glow sticks? (wich i think are cool) what exactly is the problem u seem to have?

All i ask is for u not to make another topic thats negative. how about a "i really like such and such, his tune (insert tune here) really does it for me" topic? instead of "i hate dj whats is name and and wish they would speed this up make this harder, and remove any and all colours from any artwork with a saturation of over 60"

how about some eticuit?

instead of

what about

"im not a fan of all this cartoony artwork thats around and is, in my oppinion a bad thing for the image of "hardcore". Who thinks we should have more mature looks on these albums like on Hardwired/Hardcore tunez etc.

Just wondering peoples oppion "

well? how about being a bit less offensive and less elitist?[/rant]

hope that was an interesting read for someone lol.
i'll probably end up wishing i hadent put some of that, but it was my oppinion at the time.

"this silly cartoon outlook on hardcore", "the childish shit".

...... I don't know.....?

I always liked the cartoony, cheezy, daft sort of 'look' that Hardcore,
(always use a capital 'H' when spelling Hardcore ('cos it's 'ARD!) rather than a small 'h' which only pretends to be 'ARD!).........

......oh yeh, I liked the daft sort of 'look' that Hardcore had, and still has in many ways, in complete contrast to the 'Ardness,
(an apostrophe is an acceptable subsitute for a capital 'H', but only if the subsequent letter is converted into a capital), because it implies 'ARDness!)

of the music.

There are many different styles of artwork in Hardcore to match the many different styles of Hardcore.

'Bonkers' isn't all there is to Hardcore, just a part.

Without 'Bonkers'...... Hardcore would exist.

Without Hardcore......'Bonkers' would not exist.

So, "this silly cartoon outlook" is not so bad to me, because it retains that contrast,

the, "We might look a bit silly", of the cover, to the vast array of 'ARDNESS, of the music.

sorted.......................
