and i respect the fact thate you wrote you have no arguement with me, i did not write this to stir up an arguement i just get annoyed with judgements made against me, how me and my friends are unfairly watched suspiciously around town!! and i felt that i wanted to voice that.
i know i have created a bit of a debate but i think that this was a good way of me getting my points across and although you all have unchanged opinions, that may or may not be justified i dont know, i just wanted to get mine through too.

you're watched suspiciously in places as many of people that look like you act like tools. it is just the same as with now on how arabs are looked at suspiciously because of 9/11 and the london bombings, are all of them guilty, no but the suspicion will always be there as people that looked like them do these terrible things
you can't expect a person that is attacked by their pet to not have suspicions they might do it again, people become weary
also make my opinion of chavs from my own experience and i haven't made a rash decision on my comments towards bristolboy, he made them for me from the things he has said

yes i do agree with those comments and i know that a lot of the suspision is just. all i wanted to do was show that not every chavs is like that as i feel that my friends and i do not deserve a bad name. i cannot speak for anyone other than myself so your experiences were probably bad and the opposite to the kind of day to day experiences i have involving chavs. i do not know how it feels for "non-chavs" when dealing with chavs as i get nothing but friendliness from them so i do not have the positioning to make anyone change their opinion! all i wanted to do was make it clear that we are not all bad !! 
And i hope that i did this without offending or annoying anyone because i am new to this site and i did not want to cause an arguement and be hated  !! I just have strong opinions and instead of some people that i know id rather voice them like this than go out and beat up a goth or someone!!!

I think the 9/11 analogy was a bit extereme, seeing as the majority of arabs or muslims are good people whereas the minority are arses, whereas in the chav scenario....the arses have the vast majority.....if you guys don't want to get labelled with a 'yobbish' stereotype then either stop acting/dressing like a delinquint OR ask your friends to stop behaving like fannies....otherwise we will continue to tarnish you with the same brush.

I used to be warey of chavs, then me and my mum were in Newcastle and got a bit lost, so my mum goes up to this group of about 10 chavs, i was waiting for the worst to happen mum said "can you tell me where balh blah is" and they were ever so nice and helpful, really surprised me.
I dont care whether people where a addidas tracksuit or black pvc, if they can hold a conversation, make me smile, etc i couldnt give two shits what they look like.

thats not a very good statement to put up, as in a sense of like skinheads.
there are more non racist and non extremist skinheads out there, but the nazi ones are the ones who give the rest of them a bad name. so should the non racist skins change their nature and dress because of the bad seeds? no. same as with the chavs that arent bozo's. they shouldn't have to change because some of them are bozo's.

im not sure if skinheads is too equal an analogy.. a lot of people shave their heads n stuff. I think a better American equivalent would be gangsters or at least wannabe gangsters. There are those who try to dress cool and intimidate people because its "cool" to and theres others who just dress like it cause it's fashionable. I dunno, I know I shouldn't but I do dislike most of them and are wary until I get to know one.

i dont get it...
being a chav is a bad thing - chav is a derogatory term, its not affixed to things that are good, if it was...then it wouldnt mean "chav" would it!it would mean somthing else...
you cant just say "hey im a chav" and expect everyone to go "oh really, how nice, are you a good or bad chav"
chav is a negative word, there is no two sides to it.
if you dont have the attitude of a chav, then you cant call yourself one, and if you do
you dont have to be too educated to know what the result will be, and i think this topic proves that quite well.
if you dont want to be assocaited with your so called "bad" chavs - then stop refering to yourself as one
im in a bitchy mood, and no, i dont like chavs :)
