yaddam, do you even live in the US? what is your goal? are you just here to "slag and kill hardcore"?
there is an underground scene here. very much so. at least in the Southern California area there are raves quite often and you know what? people go there. and Im sure its like that in more places than just in Cali. So stfu or back your "points" up.

this would be a prime opportunity to discuss the hardcore scene in the US and the effects that NAHM has had on it and vice versa.
I for one can forsee that hardcore will become one of the major music genres soon in the US. DDR has become (or is becoming) a major trend here, and that's another doorway into hardcore music. It just doesn't get the coverage that all of the other musical styles get.

Although my experience of the US scene is fairly minimal compared to the majority of contributors to this thread, I was over there inthe states a few months ago.
No, I didn't attend any raves (are there any raves in FL?) but I did certainly perk my ears up on a number of occaisions when various cars/pick up trucks sped past blasting hardcore and DnB out of their systems. Surely if the scene was "a joke" people would be too embarrassed to be playing such music so others could hear?
I also had a conversation with a fairly influential media exec from Toronto about the whole "rave" scene and he confirmed to me that it is indeed picking up, and getting "cool" - although its still far from reaching the mainstream (although watch this space on that score )
NAHM is a great idea anyway, even if the scene was dead. NAHM brings everybody together, wether they be the minority or the majority.
as a side note: When is NAHM gonna represent at the WMC?

wmc usually screws over the hardcore stage =/
mr. yaddam if you have over a 1,000 records, why don't you promote yourself as a dj and/or a promoter and get some things going instead of sitting and complaining? don't rely on other people to step up and carry the flag, grab it yourself and do something about it.
and if you live in the us of a, why do you still have your location as new zealand?
