here
43 seconds of real techno
10 points for the first person who can put a name to it. ;)
no lyrics, barely a melody, hardly any changes, if any - they are subtle, the full song is over 8 mins long and its pretty much the same all the way through (most the changes in it are shown in the mp3)
(thats technicaly speaking - im not trying to offend the techno guys out there)
so just sit there listen to the loop 8 times over and you'll get the idea

Techno: http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF174752-01-01-03.mp3 The idea behind nahm isn't so much to make hardcore mainstream, but to expose hardcore to a wider audience. ________________________________________________ My Record Collection Can Beat Up Your Record Collection.

How else would you propose spreading hardcore so more people catch on, what other mediums are there to expose people?
And i'm sorry, kansas is a terrible example =P

Here in Southern California I think has a pretty decent scene and its growing. More and more raves that include hardcore are appearing around LA and Orange County. Most of the people that listen, like what I play and I see more and more people wanting to get into hardcore. Just give it time, spread the word. Hardcore is good music and eventually people will catch on.
But some of what yaddam said is true, there are those people who laugh at it. But if you really like somthing, who cares what other people think right? If hardcore becomes mainstream, great. If not, Ill still love hardcore.

most places are getting better, they file it under dance =P
just for future knowtice, never start an arguement with a techno elitist. I love me some acid techno, but the detroit stuff can be so drab and mundane =/

Should we just give up because it's hard? It's not easy? It's a difficult goal? There is no one goal... it's about playing banging tunes to people that want to listen. I wouldn't care if NAHM did not get any bigger, I would love of course for it to get bigger but even if it didn't I know there is 700+ people out there tuned in that are lovin it...
NAHM a hopless (hopeless) goal? I think not....
