I currently own a set of soundlab Dlp-3r decks and basically they have been owned by 3 people......my brothers mate my brother and me. They have been played at clubs, house partys everywhere, and must be about 5 years old at least.....and basically they are shagged!
So i have decided that i need a new set.......and im just asking for your advice.
Im wanting a set of direct drives.......preferably with a Digital Beat Counter on the decks.......oh and they have too be really really cheap......lol
I saw a set of TTx-1's on Ebay for £550 brand new in box never used.....im still a tad iffy on owing me mam n dad £450 mind lol (i can flog my Soundlabs for about £100 on ebay hopefully!
Cheers
Adam

Thats a good deal on the TTX1s you have to invest a decent amount of money for a decent product im afraid! There is no point gettin 2nd hand/budget stripped down decks as these wont satisfy you for long and you wont be able to sell them on for much. Go with the TTX1s and when you are raking in the cash for your gigs and sellin mix CDs to your mates ya wont regret it. Make sure you have a decent mixer to go along with them though otherwise it kinda defeats the purpose of having sh*t hot decks!! Here a aint bought nuttin over Ebay before cuz i heard ppl just rip you off? Any1 shed any light? Wot happens if you part wi the cash and the punter doesnt cough up?

I own some ttx1's and would reccomend them to anyone there awesome...
As for the ebay thing, thats why you dont use anything but paypal, dont have to worry about sending moneyorders to people and them just breaking off contact, paypal makes everything fast and secure....
sound like i got paid to say that lol...

Also on ebay there are a set of Numark TT1 pro direct drive decks....only been used a couple of times.....duno what there like.....???
The TT-X1's are brand new and never been used!!! how much would they normally cost me?
I have just seen a few m8s round school and have been offered £200 for my current decks and £50 for my gemini ps626 pro II.....They dont know what they are talking about so im just taking advantage lol........ i know im sly!
Im thinking of getting a behnringer mixer, preferably a 3 channel one....dont know if there any good though???
Thing with ebay is you gotta be careful who you deal with! if theres someone who has loadsa bad feedback, you dont deal with them, but if they have like 50+ feedback with no negative feedback you know there legitamet, you just got to be careful really!
Anymore advice would be really helpful.... thanks a lot to everyone whos posted helping me!
Oh and the person who said about playing out......i cant as i dont own any light or speakers that are loud enough to play out with. (Although there loud enough to go through my windows, my opposite neighbours windows and let him still hear it although he has his tv on full blast! lol) hehehe
Thats the only downside im thinking of if i buy these TTX-1's???? Any ways of curing this??
Cheers
Adam

ttx-1s at the moment would cost you about £670 for a brand new pair never tried behnringer mixers but if you want comments on it go to www.djstore.com and click on any mixer and people will have wrote a product review on it

Id recommend the ttx1s too. I have them myself and i love em to bits. I did cover the actual digital display with some tape though as this gets on my nerves a little sometimes.
The other option if you want the display is the vestax pdx 2300. They are pretty good too but would really only reccomend tem if you are going to scratch.

no they don't have a digital beat counter why do you need one i have one on my numarks but never use it. you should be able just to use your ears to know instead of a machine or you will never learn. if you are going to buy vestrax turntable go for a PDX one they have a pitch bend stick which will make it easier to beatmatch
