Just like to point out that the beat counter on the ttx1s is pretty inacurate too.

like even if you try and use it your mixing will probably only get worse

I suppose it depends on the quality of the vinyl, and wether or not it has a clear beat, i suppose with hardcore it wouldnt, but trance and hard house it may work a tad better.

If you read one of my previous posts on this topic you will read that i only want a beat counter so that i can get the beats approxiamatly matched and then get it done 100% by ear, its a lot quicker! also incase i **** up then the beat matchers there to speed things up........hopefully, my brain isnt too quick!

How about GEMINI PDT6000??? they any good in anyones views??

Check one, two were the bad boy krew, cream of the crop!

Get second hand technics on e-bay. I got my 1210's with an SH-DX 1200 mixer for 600quid and it was all only 6 months old, so its still guarenteed.

technics are proven reliable and industry standard. I expect most other decks are too but you know that 1210's will last practically forever if you look after them.

You don't get all the features of other decks but you can live without all that, dj's have for the last 30 years....

They look the best too imo.....

Well i wouldnt say the look the best anymore. There are other decks out there that look a lot nicer imo. but i do agree you wont get anything more reliable

i have TTX1's and i love them to bits, however i dont use the BPM counter, but you have to admit, that wonderful blue LCD screen looks so very cool in the dark....mmmm and the little dot that follows the deck plate...so...very...hypnotic...

"bring the hardest paddle you can find, and get ready to be spanked, you dirty dirty pigs.....yes yes?"

Dont mean to bring the subject up again,

But if you peeps are all on about buying TT-X1's, but you dont use the beat counters on the decks, why dont you just buy the TT-500's?? there the same, if not better as they have more torque, the only difference is the exterior looks, the digital beat counter, and the price.......i think??

i can pick a brand new pair of TT-500's up from america for £300.... where as TT-X1's would cost me £500+ for a new pair.......

Because the tt-500s were not out when I was buying my ttxs. If your going to buy ttx-1s then you should wait a while till the new model comes out soon it has more torque

No matter what anyone says they are still Industry standard but I have used Vestrax, Stanton , Technics and Numarks and in my opinion I felt Numarks TTX-1s were the best for me. Thats the best way to decide just go for the deck that best suits you

what I don't get is why they have more torque than the TTX-1s. They should have the most Torque seeing as they are ameant to be Numarks top deck
