Just want to hear some thoughts on this-
I'm plannin to by a DJ Package which consists of 2 Numark CD Decks which you can scratch on, and a 3 channel mixer with some special effects for £900...is that a decent price to pay for it?

which CD decks are they? The Axis8/9?? I have an Axis8, and whilst you can scratch on it, it isn't fantastic for scratching. Theres a bit of latency when you try to do stuff too (when you first go into scratch mode for instance, and also when you try to get the track playing again). I paid £200 2nd hand for one deck second hand, but I have heard reports of Axis9s selling for £250 new including shipping from America (to Europe). That totals £500. If you want to scratch though, I would reccomend looking at one of the decks with a rotating platter..... much better for scratching
As for the mixer, if you only have the CD decks, then the Axis 8 and 9 have effects built in, so do you really need fx in the mixer? could shave a bit off the price there!

its the axis 8's--so tempted but not too keen on throwin mone away on something when better can be got..for cheaper....Cheers!!
still gonna give it some thought though...
