After my second set of shure styli have worn out, I've given up with them. They sound god awful so I'm getting rid of them asap.

What carts would u guys recomend? I'm looking for a good sounding cart as my shures have always sounded wank with high end stuff. So good quality/not bad at scatching?

I'm a fan of Ortofon myself.

I wonder what the Shure White Labels are like.. they're like the most expensive I've seen.

But um, Silver has the Ortofon Concorde (I THINK). It's the black ones.

Get the nightclub version or the pink ones if you want to scratch.

I have the black ones which don't have the diamond tips but you can scratch with them.

I've got the blue ones, and they stick like glue when I scratch.

I've got shure m44g's and while they can be ok I just feel there's a whole lot more than can be done :) of course the problem could also be my speakers and/or my mixer.. I've been trying to find out which for ages and it's driving me mad.

Thanks for the help.. given me something to think about :)

A cartridge, which holds the stylus, which is fixed to the headshell, which is attached to the tonearm :) Unless you have concordes, in which case there is no need for a headshell.
