GLENWORTH VALLEY
ABOUT THE VENUE
Glenworth Valley is Australia's largest privately owned Entertainment and Recreational centre, spanning a massive 2500 acres. Just over an hours drive from Sydney, the park is undisputedly one of the most impressive outdoor amphitheatres in the Southern Hemisphere with the main music arena nestled in a large valley with mountains all around. Glenworth Valley comes equipped with a vast array of distinct and separate areas for us to house our 6 music arenas, allowing us the space for these arenas without each music style encroaching on another during the event. The park also features a giant camping ground, toilets, market area including food, clothing and various other items, and plenty more. Glenworth Valley is an obvious choice for an experience such as this event, and will provide the perfect environment for Utopia Electronic Music Festival.
PRODUCTION - A party like no other!
At Powerhouse Productions, we pride ourselves on creating parties unparalleled in atmosphere and quality – we strive to produce parties beyond your wildest dreams and supercede all expectations. For Utopia Electronic Music Festival we have spared no expense to make this a party unlike no other. We have merged the most talented technical experts nationwide to produce the most spectacular lighting, sound, visual and laser shows yet to be witnessed in Australia.
Powerhouse Productions have merged the latest state-of-the-art laser, lighting, sound and visual techniques and technology to bring you a show that will blow your mind. The production capability you will witness at Utopia, Glenworth Valley really has to be seen to be believed.
LIGHT AND SOUND
As we will be holding UTOPIA:EMF in a giant valley and not a monstrous stadium like normal, we have asked BLM to totally rethink their production set up and installation for this mammoth event. Without question BLM are extremely excited to be doing something completely different, and have told us their plans are simply "over the top and out of this world". From what we know, the team at BLM will be creating large performer stages, 6 in fact for the 6 arenas, and for each arena they will be creating specialty lighting and laser effects to make perfect use of the outdoor environment. Expect lasers shooting to the stars, intelligent and effect lighting hammering the hills on either side of the main stages with vibrant colours and patterns, and a conglomeration of the best lighting and laser technology on offer. The sound systems across the 6 arenas will be especially tuned for the outdoor environment and each speaker stack will positioned perfectly to create aural sound waves for the specific arena alone, and will not encroach on the other arenas.
CARNIVAL RIDES, STALLS & PERFORMERS
For the past 8 years, we have held our events in large stadiums and concert halls, and these venues have offered us little in the way of outdoor areas for our carnival equipment. Sure, we've had some top rides on offer over the years, but every time, we've had to squeeze them into the space available. Well not for this event. Oh no, we're talking a massive outdoor field, a field so big Farmer Joe would be envious, and in saying that, we have room for the most rides ever. We've got the room, we're getting the rides. If it spins you around, sends you up and down, shakes you like crazy, we're getting it. If it puts a smile on your face, or the fear of god in your eyes, it's on our list. The biggest carnival area we've ever had, guaranteed. Of course we won't be forgetting about the lighter side of the night, we'll be bringing in performers of all types, stilt walkers, fire breathers, the works. Plus we'll have the largest market stall area we've ever had. It'll make the Sunday markets look like a Fete. Remember, we're talking about a massive valley here, and we want to fill it up. Come one come all, the carnival is in town.
LASERS & VISUALS
For each event that Powerhouse has staged, we have always placed an emphasis on the visual aspect of the hard dance experience. Combining visual stimuli with your aural senses has always been the key to making your night at one of our parties that extra bit memorable.
We have combined all of our past experiences as well as the laser systems we have used and rolled it all into one. For Utopia Electronic Music Festival expect nothing but an amazing laser show that has been created especially for the festival itself, a set up that will display unique laser show incomparable to any other you have seen before. Powerhouse shall make this experience unlike any other with a laser extravaganza that shall prove to anyone that a good laser show can top the night off. On top of this Eyebyte will be bringing their knowledge and understanding of visual displays to the table and providing the Utopia Electronic Music Festival with a visual landscape. This may be a festival showcasing the electronic music of our time, but without Eyebyte manning the projection screens it wouldn't feel complete.

COVERAGE and CAMPING
Glenworth Valley is the ideal place to spend an evening under the stars. Nestled between mountains and hillsides, its spectacular views and surroundings will enhance your night at UTOPIA:EMF. Because of this, we have organised for a separate camping ground for the night, which you can utilise to make the festival as comfortable as possible. The camping area will be separate from the actual music zones, so it can give you that space to chill, relax and rest between your spurts of dancing. The area will be patrolled by security during the event, giving you the chance to party on without a worry in the world.
All around the festival grounds there will be an abundance of coverage for all party attendees, included in circus tents, stalls and other areas of shade and shelter. The event will cater for all factors on the day, you don't even need to worry about enjoying yourself… we have taken care of that. Just turn up and you'll see!
The main arena will be completely covered by an enormous 75 by 45 metre white concert circus tent that can house more than 8000 people alone. This is for all peoples benefit as it will shelter you from all weathers, and can provide you with an outdoor feeling whilst partying protected from the elements. As well as this there will be other similar tents of varying sizes for some of the other stages, and all tents can have the sides removed if needed. This is just one of the many little extras that Powerhouse have thought of to make this festival the ultimate experience!
You will need to purchase a Camping ticket if you wish to camp at Utopia.
Tickets are available in advance thru ticketek and Utopia Record stores or on the day at the camping site. (first in best dressed)
You are permitted to bring Tents of any size to UTOPIA:EMF.
If you have a ticket to camp at UTOPIA:EMF, you need to ensure all your camping mates have a ticket as well.
Camping at UTOPIA is granted when there is one ticket per person NOT one ticket per campsite. This is for the safety of the camp to ensure that the camping grounds do not get over crowded and also to keep them secure.
Call HOLIAK HIRE PTY LTD Telephone : (02) 9437 0278 for all your camping requirements.
Your weekend camping ticket will give you access to UTOPIA camping grounds from 12pm Saturday 4th October through to Sunday 5th October - please do not arrive after 9pm.
Please respect the site and your fellow campers. Any unruly behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in your removal from the site

^^ it's being touted as an "electronic music festival", so you'd expect the bookings list to appeal to a wide range of listeners, wouldn't you? Even if you don't like Darude's work, there are a lot of people out there who do.
Oh, and I don't think they'll be able to pull something this big off if they try to make it limited age.
