What do you gues think of numark mixers and more specifically the Numark
Matrix 3.

Im thinking of going from my vestax pmc 05 to that coz of the 3 channels and the 3 eqs. Allso cant spend like 400 quid on a nw mixer :)

Peace, love and unity

Haven't tried the newer Numark mixers but I have the em-40 or whatever w/the Kaoss pad. Wouldn't recommend Numark unless you can afford to replace the faders regularly. But, maybe the newer ones have improved, who knows...

If you have some money you dont need to waste it on the numarks
the need so much miantanence. Buy a DATEQ or RODEC or GMR
those are the best mixers ever, but no one knows them but there great.

There is no question that the faders on the Vestax are quality be it pcv or pmc ones and they are very smooth with a nice cutoff if you scratch etc.
But I would like to defend the Numark mixers a little here.
I have had a Numark DM3002X mixer for about 18 months now and nowt has gone wrong with it inc the faders.
The faders are not as good as the Vestax ones but I have got the crossfader now so it is smooth enough the only thing that lets it down is the cut off slope could be slightly sharper. But for the price was a good buy as it is very solid mixer with a nice eq,3 channels etc etc.

I've had different experiences with the DM3002X... after two months the crossfader blew on mine, the replacement lasted a week. I'm on my third now and it's seemed pretty hearty.

Eh. Behringers are tricky buggahs! Don't try anything tricky like scratching, beatmixing or turning it on, as it might explode!
