due to the fact that most of the hardcore discussed on this forum comes out of the UK, i think it's save to say what most people are going to say =P
I think it's going to take a while for enough north american producers to make a statement in the hardcore scene but I think it can be done. It is already starting to take off with people like justrich, phoshor, sunrize, ac slater, etc. producing

i don't think there's enough american hardcore to even be able to make a fair comparison, and to think about how long american hardcore has even been around we're definitely not at a level for comparison.

Damn he is sooo right!
HARDCORE TILL I DIE!
if video games affected us as children, then we would all be running around in dark rooms, munching magical pills and dancing to repetitive music!

Perfect. Thats one of the things that makes hardcore great. It dosent matter where it comes from or who made it, but if it sounds good its great.
Im not a fan of some of the stuff to come out of japan, but then agian if some one played it in a set im not going to flip out and attack them ninja style. Hardcore is great no matter where it comes from. I would really like to see some D&B dj's make a hardcore track or 2.
When I post, i shoud really be sleeping.

sorry, but topics like this irritate me. The US and it's northern neighbors have not had the luxury of being the birth place and breeding ground of the entire genre. So to compare it is slightly trivial. didn't some one post a topic just like this but a little bit more mean spirited and more ignorant about a month ago? as I remember, he got his ass chewed, and with good reason.

Justrich, Phosphor, Frisky, Hardcore Hippies, D-minus are all hardcore producers from Canada.
AC Slater, Cloudskipper, Tronic, Sunrize, Simon Apex (now in the UK) are US producers.
