A US schoolteacher has pleaded guilty after she was impregnated by a 13-year-old student.
Alexandria Vera, 24, had sex with the teen almost daily for nine months, according to Aldine Independent School District Police.
Vera fell pregnant but later had an abortion after Child Protective Services questioned her about her relationship with the father, Vera told investigators.

It's still frowned upon, but statisticly, how much of these stuff are actually rape, in the sense that one of them doesn't wanna do it, no matter the legality of the question?
When it comes to boys, it's usually overwhelmingly about them scoring a hot teacher, while it comes to girls, it's almost always rape. Except for that time when an English teacher took one of his students and fled to France. That seemed consensual.

I think it's just a matter of people using an emotional term to attack something they don't like and make it sound bad, even if it isn't bad. Someone doesn't like a particular action, such as sex with teachers? -> Pass a law to label it rape.

Let's get one thing straight here AFAIK there are no actual federal laws, or maybe even state laws, that ban students and teachers from sleeping around that is usually school and district policy. It's not uncommon for college students and professors to sleep around but it's against school policy and most of the time it results in the termination of the professor.
What is the issue here is that she is an adult and he is an underage male who is not legally capable of having consensual sex with a woman of her age, regardless of whether the young male is completely aware and mature enough to understand the circumstances. This is what is called statutory rape, consensual but not legal under the law due to the age differences.
And what an odd expression, "fell pregnant." Did she happen to trip and land on his dick repeatedly or something? lol

'fell pregnant' is a perfectly normal phrase.
There is 100% an inequality, whether or not it's right is another matter but generally speaking, if a teenage boy ****s his hot teacher, he's a hero. If a girl ****s her teacher, she's a victim. I would like to see some statistics on whether that has any impact on how things are dealt with from a legal perspective
I found out today that under UK law, a man cannot be raped by a woman.
