1. there ripping you off
2. there is NOTHING worse than poor quality records
3. its just wrong and immoral
4. it just proves the point that "business ethics" is the most contradictory statement in the English language.
Hope it gets sorted…cos I know I would have been one of the happy punters getting the legit repressing if it ever does come out.

All I can say is first off don't scrap the plans for a re-relaese...that would be a cool idea.
And does anybody remember a guy came on here not too long ago selling some copy's he said he had 5 to sell......to come across 5 I thought was quite rare in itself......the guy that had for no reason for it had a go at Pacman???!!!!

I'm "that guy". Pacman was not right about the record - because he said it was the Spanish version.
I bought a few of these when I got the chance just like any of you would.
I've pm'd Mr A-Tension and told him where he might learn more.
But some proof of ID would be nice - I've asked around and could easily confirm names???????????????????????????????????????????????????????

i was being sarcastic about being wrong...
i apologised in your thread for my error - no need to carry it on here. as simon says (simon says) it was very surprising and somewhat unbelieveable for many of us to see this. i know people who'd kill for one copy of this record, the most i know owned by a single person is three, and the highest i've seen it sell for is upwards of AUS$500, and so my assumption that you were selling dodgy copies was well justified. on top of that, this is a very expensive record. you can come across it really cheap out of luck. maybe this could happen twice. maybe you payed big money for one of your copies. but SIX? and then you're selling them relatively cheap. it's also rare that one would sell EVERY copy of a rare record that they have (especially when they have sex - why not sell 4 or 5?), but maybe you are selling every copy you have? it's possible!! if that's not the case, then you have at least seven copies. this i have muh trouble believing.
i believe i had fair reason to disbelieve and challenge your sale, and also retracted and apologised my attack in an appropriate manner.

in other news, 'AWORDOFWARNING': i don't understand (why you capitalise the first letter of every word??? what's the deal?). no seriously, i don't understand why if you had plans to re-release the track, this would stop you from doing so... wouldn't it make you realise the value ofyour tune (if it is indeed you, which i'm not conviced of.
if you didn't know the bootlegs were around until now, then you've been living under a rock. they have been around for a very long time, and you really should have picked up on this sooner.
i would like to hear about your licensing deals with the other releases/versions of your tune as proof that it's you.

my prediction (LISTEN TO THIS!!!!): i think there is some shared personalities (users) going on here, with possibly a motive to sell some records (possibly bootlegs) or what not (any publicity is good publicity?). here are some dodgy things that i think are going on:
- the message is signed off as "A-Tension". possible, but many artists will use their real names, particularly if they have a serious message to give people.
- (CONNECTING BUCKY TO AWORDOFWARNING) in the thread mr bucky links to above, he says he will swap for "big in japan". it just so happens that awordofwarning's avatar (strange for someone not planning to use the board and not entering their birthdate to put an avatar???) is from big in japan. again possible, but a decent coincidence
- user dj_bucky uses the pharse "AWORDOFWARNING" in his thread advertising his sale of this tune on e-bay. the artist stealing a name off of people selling illegal copies of his music??? another weird coincidence.
- dj_bucky seems to be the only one conversing with Awordofwarning when one is suposedly mad at the other for selling their bootlegs. on top of this, he may or may not have helped Awordofwarning to find the person reponsible for selling the bootlegs, which shoud be him (wtf???)
- funny that a-tension should turn up now, after the academy street one's been out so long, in the same forum at the same time as this guy....
- dj_bucky has posted in five threads. three of them concern this track
- i have seen the capitalisation of letters and similar techniques to mask people from wanna-be detectives like me who will match their punctuation and capitalisation
i know this is alot of accusation, but if you can answer it bucky and convince me that this is not a hoax, i would be very impressed, because right now there's alot of holes in this plot.
