It's coming out the same week as the Raver baby mp3 back catalogue

I've been edging since the Kickstarter. This will be a sweet release, indeed.

As agitating as I am sure the delay has been, for all of us, ultimately the result is superior to originally specc'd *and* the timing more useful.
Can't say fairer than that

Going off on a tangent, was it you asking for unmastered track availability?

I went off on a few rants about mastering a while ago. Not specifically about HU, but about music in general. I think I made a comment about it, but I'm certainly not asking for special treatment.
One thing I suggested was some sort of "personalized delivery," where a person could choose among maybe three versions of a song (unmastered / light mastering / heavy mastering) to suit individual taste. It's an idea I heard about on a video interview with Mark Waldrep, if I'm remembering correctly, who specializes in surround sound hi-res music. I can imagine it would take time and effort to implement, though, if anyone were ever interested in it.

Well, it settled. Think we're seriously looking into it
Diversions/Blu The Roof/Upcoming project should cheer you up. I've been railing against "DJ masters" for years. It's amusing, in retrospect, particularly given the inherent variance of production standard and style, just how much better our older comp albums sound next to the supposed flagship (overdriven, splashy, dynamically crushed, t-tracks blasted, .mp3 sourced) titles of yesteryear. Maybe we can learn, as a genre, finally.

That sounds great! Thanks for taking the time to read all of my posts here. In case I ever sounded negative, I want to say that I've always been very happy with my entire collection of HU material. In particular, HU001 is one of my all-time favorite releases in terms of style, production, and overall sound quality.

Informed opinion isn't ever inherently negative.... particularly if I 100% agree. I'll ensure the back cat goes up unmastered; it could be useful to someone someday.... So why not?

Lovely stuff, from a non-dj/general listeners standpoint this gets me aroused!

Incontinence? I really hope the bluray is released before I'm put into a retirement home... just in case, I'll put a bluray player in storage so I can dust it off and watch it!

'What's that grandad'?
'It's a Blu ray player kids, I bought it nearly 40 years ago'
'Why haven't you thrown it away'?
'I'm waiting for something called Blu the roof to be released'
