this just happens to reappear in many discussions i have with people claiming rap is top notch. and then you say to them ok give me an example and they bring in some lamerz like 50cent or others, in worst case they rap their crap in german language.
i never liked it, not the language, not the lyrics.
i love mc whizzkid, storm, and others in their mc'ing especially in happyhardcore tracks. they sound more upbeat, dare i say happy, still pushing it much more than any rapper. their wording is faster. also blackout crew and bar wars I and II is ace, you never feel their lyrics insult someone.
and then the question happend to me since when did it went so much downhill with european (except uk hardcore) music? i remember when i was 10 or 11, i was buying me cds and there was still a big deal eurodance on it, where you can say the voices were basically mc'ing, the beats were faster and harder.

this is basically when music was still good for me. and year after year more trash came. it went more depressing, slower and instead good mc's there were only crap rappers.
this might be all completely subjective and people not that sensitive towards music might not even have noticed it, but yeh maybe it opens a discussion here or some have experieced the same and can give me a reason behind it.
