i just have no luck i got my new laptop etc just went to unplug it and find the plug won't come out of the socket
anyone any advice on how to get it out or why this has happened????

Was it not hard to get into the socket in the first place? Just get some tools around it and pull it out. Any tool you like that will do the job. It can't be that stuck, lol. I'm guessing it's just a tight fit, or there is a but of a burr on the metal that is getting caught or something (less likely).

lol it went in as any plug would tried to pry it out with a screwdriver but it's refusing to budge same thing happened with an extention plug a few months ago n had to cut the plug off n have the socket replaced really hope it's not the same thing but knowing my luck it will be

Are we talking about the plug in the laptop or the plug in the wall/gang plug etc? If it's not the one in the wall and you are able to take it back to the shop I'd just do that and don't play around with it any more. Should be replaced under warranty but if you damage it trying to fix it yourself that might void the warranty.
Sounds strange though. I had a Gamecube memory card get stuck once and I couldn't get that out for shit. It's still in the console to this day.

I would not recommend using tools to pry it out of the socket, you might end up frazzling yourself or something!

it's stuck in the socket on the wall gonna leave it till tomorrow phone currys and explain the situation see if i can work something out coz the last time it happened with my extention plug it had to have the wire cut and the wall socket got replaced
just my bloody luck it just had to happen lol electronics don't like me

When i said it i only meant to grip the plug. Prying it out with a screwdriver won't work very well as when you apply pressure on one side, it just forces the plug in on the other.
