I've been without decks for about a year now, they were sold to help cover a very lard unexpected bill.
Of course, I've still got all my vinyl and am desperate for a mix so now things are back to normal I'm considering re-buying my turntables.

Hilariously though, it appears that rave's don't really pay any attention to vinyl anymore.

So basically I'm sitting here debating whether I should go with a pair of Technics 1210s again, or Numark TTx1s again

I love TTx1s, they are stupidly fun to scratch on and being able to swap from 8+- to 12+- to 16+- to 20+- to 30+- and even 50+- was actually a lot of fun, and very useful for when you want to mess around cross genres (keylock also being handy when messing around with acapellas).
I also like the idea of having technics, just purely from a "this is what a rave will probably have on the off-chance that it's a vinyl night"

but just buying technics for that one reason, even though it's a very good reason is a tough choice when forfitting everything I love about the TTX1s.

in an ideal world I'd have both, just a look like a smug git.
But, it's not an ideal world, and I can only really go with one...

I just wish I could tell how much I'm going to miss having the feel and flexibility of the X1s if I switch back to 1210s... Bah.

Not sure if I understand this phrase. does it mean you wouldn't like the look of 2 different types of turntable? Cuz I really don't see a problem in getting both, and just switch 'em around every now and then, for the sake of varying tecnique.
On a side note, I would actually suggest you get one turntable and 1 cdj. best of both worlds and then you'd have no excuse to not play at parties where there are no turntables!!

If I only had one turntable and one CDJ...that would make mixing from vinyl to vinyl very tricky! :P
