A bit of a self indulgent mix from me. Playing some of my favourite trance tunes.
Sorry about the clipping, couldnt hear it when mixing.

Just to back up H2G, it's unlistenable through headphones.
If you have a really cheap muddy system that shows no detail it might be ok, but it's really really loud.
Quite a shame, I was very much looking forward to this.

Yeah, I am aware that its clipping. Its my first mix using my macbook and even though the input was turned down to 0.1 its too loud. Pissing me off. Ive messed with some of the settings and its still loud but a little better. I think the REC on my mixer is too hot and there is no volume control on it.
Im gonna re-do it when I get it sorted out.
Got a mid 90's Hard Trance mix that Ive been buying vinyls for so going to do that too.

Wooot!!
Hope you get it sorted, would have been a killer mix. I'm sure it sounded good from your seat.

Sounds like it will be a good mix. I like that kind of thing. Regarding the mixer, are there no other gain controls? What about the preamps? Either way you should be able to control the input from the recording software (although useless if the signal is already distorted).

Figured it out. It was Serato....
The settings in Audio for the mac were confusing as ****. I just needed to tell the Mac to ignore Serato unless its via the DJ Software. It was feeding the Vinyl to Mixer to DJ software, then back to the mixer, then back to the recorder, meaning it was being gained twice. It now goes, Vinyl - Serato - Mixer - Recorder.
My speakers come out of the Master so that it sounded really nice and clear, it wasnt until the recording came out that it sounded shit. Hopefully, should be ok moving forward, looks like im gonna have to re-do my mix!!
