I actually heard and bought this version before hearing the original. I had no idea how big it was. Just sounded like good music to me.

If we're talking about in Sweden, I would say Hardcore in general. :P
In the other way around, I'd have to say Spice Girls - Viva Forever,
or Army of Lovers - Saint Tropez, because I love that they play the Castlevania(1-3) deathsound somewhere in the middle of the song :)

Yeah Hardcore is pretty embarrassing as music goes. Anyway as for other music, there is so much that i don't know where to begin. But the Spice Girls have a few tunes that i am not embarrassed to like, and Viva Forever is one of them lol.

I think I will win first price: LOL
Everly Brothers - All I Have To Do Is Dream
But when it comes to Hardcore, I must mention Blumchen/Blossom. I guess her reputation in countries outside of Germany is at least slightly better, but I have the feeling I'd get lynched by the crowds/Krauts , if I'll play one of her tracks loudly in my car.

Nah you haven't won, as i also regularly listen to that song as of late, but not their version of it. An even cheesier version by Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell. I don't like the other one. I don't think there is anything embarrassing about liking it either. It's a classic!
