It's coming this fall, folks!!!! I'm so excited as you can probably tell by the amount of exclamation marks, I consider Wind Waker to be one of the best Zeldas created.

Of course, the main announcement was that Nintendo will try to think outside the box for the new WiiU Zelda but that totally got overshadowed for me by the announcement of the HD remake. I would have preferred a Majora's Mask HD remake but I'm fine with WW too! :D

good to know that they are giving an HD makeover for Wind Waker. Not my favorite game of the series, but I would still like to play it again. I hate though that there is such a long wait for a new Zelda for the TV console. They really should time their console launch date to match that of the Zelda game releases. I really think that Zelda has surpassed the Mario Bros games as the most anticipated games from Nintendo. Mario games have become so repetitive and boring and they use their likeness in too many Nintendo games.

Also, Final Fantasy X will also be released in HD this year, supposedly in March. But it could be delayed.

Not really interested in this HD remake. Once they do this to Majora's Mask, then we can talk.

Yeah, saw this on the Nintendo Direct. Looks amazing and I'll definitely pick it up, I absolutely love WW.

I'm also hyped for some of the other stuff shown! The new Monolith Soft (developers of Xenoblade) game looks absolutely stunning - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GxUMMGyZcM

& Yoshi Wii U looks fun too - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MB_1X4oRIPM&feature=youtu.be

It wasn't show but Shin-Megami Tensei meets Fire Emblem has me pretty hyped too.

With Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, and Bayonetta 2 already on the horizon it looks like my Wii U is going to get some serious use. :P

The sales certainly tell a different story. ;) Mario massively outsells Zelda. For me Zelda is certainly the better game though.

I wouldn't mind a port of ALttP to the 3DS - I was in the Ambassador program and got a ton of free games so on my bus trips to work I usually play some... I beat Metroid Fusion and currently on The Minish Cap, it's a good game, enjoying it so far!

When I heard about the remake now, that was the first time I felt that I really needed a Wii U! XD

I never really liked Wind Waker (mostly because of the CEL shading), but I am willing to give it another go to be honest. And for anyone complaining about the game "being old", well not much has happened to the game engine since Wind Waker anyways...

this wasnt my favorite
it was all the sailing that got on my tits... bored me senseless
would take ages with hardly anything to do on the way
and there was a lack of dungeons to keep me interested

I'll still buy it though lol

I think I only played through MQ once, and had started it again when I got OoT3D but never finished it that time... I really love WW though. I can understand how people could get bored of the sailing but it never bothered me. What bothered me the most was having to change the direction of the wind every minute. Haha
