Can anyone help me create a bass that sounds like Hixxy's used in the aforementioned tunes, and probably tons more from CXH7? Been trying but I know too little about tweaking knobs and stuff to be able to recreate a sound! haha

Use a limiter at 0 and keep applying gain to the whole tune in +6db increments until it sounds like distorted mushy peas. You might have gone a few db too far at that point but probably not.
It may not help with the bass per se but you will surely capture the essence of You're Gonna Love Me.
I say all that cos when I first heard it I thought it was a gabber tune. Couldn't have picked the bass out from the over-compressed mess of a kick for the life of me. I exaggerate but that tune genuinely sounds awful through headphones at a reasonable volume.
(Sorry for hi-jacking your thread to complain about over-compression)

How about instead of petty railing against his musical tastes we actually help him, like this sub-forum was created for?

My post wasn't meant to rag on Quicksilver, it was ragging on whoever mixed down You're Gonna Love Me. I'd say something helpful but I can't so I thought I'd get that off-topic bs off my chest, it was bothering me the other day.
Apologies to all whom offense was propagated towards for my part in said.

I sat for an hour trying to re-create a similar sounding bass in my Anniversary tune... Sounds not too far off does it?
