Lot of the series recommended aren't available anymore/yet. Did acquire 2 series by other means, and just ordered the following ones (couple by recommendation on this topic)
Sekirei 1 (BD), Dragonaut, Moonlight Mile, Origin: Spirits of the Past (BD), Vexille (BD) and Fafner (BD).
Almost bought Xam'd Lost Memories (BD), but it costs like 90$. So would have had to drop 3 other series to get it. Maybe next month.

In the meanwhile have been watching some old DVDs (Now and Then Here and There, Crest/Banner of the Stars, Spaceship Operators, Nadesico and some others). Realized i'm not bored of anime, just haven't found enough series that are on bar with the ones i used to watch.

Ive only watched a couple all the way through. Not too hot on it all personally but its background noise when Im producing or making art.

Erm, S.A.O, Infinate Stratos, Tonari, Freezing and currently trying to watch Guity Crown after someone uploaded one of my tracks with an image of GC on Youtube.

Like I say, not clued up on it much, just have it on the side-monitor to glance at when Im bored.

Have that, started out really well. Then half way through just fell flat and was really boring.

Used to listen the opening theme for Fafner a lot, so kinda have to see what the actual series is about. Same thing with Bokurano, need to see it for the same reasons.

Also got this week Ikki Tousen and Koihime Muso. First one was kinda good, second one has annoying kids. Which i hate the most in anime :/ Still have 7 episodes to go. Hopefully it gets better or I get too intoxicated to care.

Just finished watching it. It was epic and a masterpiece. One of the best, if not the best, anime series I've watched. Highly recommended.

Been watching animes again recently....

If you like rpg romance, you would love the following from this year:

Accel World
Sword Art Online

I personally prefer watching slice-of-life comedy anime like the following:

Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanajo
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate
Kokoro Connect
Kamisama Hajimemashita
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!
Tonari No Kaibutsu Kun
The IdolM@ster
Hayate No Gotoku

If you like ecchi..... to be honest I didnt really watch much of it..
To Love-Ru (1st season is good)
OniAii

If you like gore, i think this one turned me off at the first few minutes of episode 1:
Shinsekai Yori

Hope you'll have fun watching these anime, otaku boy! xD

I tried to watch fafner, and i remember now why i stopped. It's a very slow starter. I watched 5-6 episodes, and I felt... "Gawd I already got RahXephon, Linebarrels of Iron and Gundam series."

Charger: When it comes to "real life" anime, I prefer to watch some with more supernatural (and I don't mind comical) cuts. If I wanted Slice-of-life, I can watch english/american sitcoms, where I understand the language and the humor :P

I didn't think it was slow at all o_O Though i had a fewer while i watched the first ~15 episodes.

Slice-of-life series are great to watch, and their nothing like sitcoms to be honest. You just haven't watched any good ones :p

Just finished watching REC and quite enjoyed it. Only advise if you like a love story though (not an ecchi one though don't worry).

I will just post what i watched recently

Busou Shinki Moon Angel
Busou Shinki TV 01-02
Cowboy Bebop
Deadman Wonderland (not much horror as i thought in the first place, but still decent)
Dragonball GT (uncut)
Girls und Panzer (surprisingly good, even though the characters dont evolve much)
Mirai Nikki (pretty good, i watched all episodes within 2 days)
Outlaw Star
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt 01-03 (chaotic and bad imo.)
Strike Witches 1 (sometimes too much "tits and panties", but decent series nevertheless)
Strike Witches 2 (same as above)
Suzumiya Haruhi Season 2 (Endless 8...., i watched all episodes but i was disappointed that they didnt shown those special cases nagato was talkin about)
Sword Art Online (best series i watched so far the last 3 months)
The End of Evangelion

TBH the only reason i bought that, was because Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen is based on a Finnish person :P
Agree on your verdict on the series, though first one didn't convince me enough to buy the second season.

the second season is a bit better because there are more fighting and less boobgrabbing / ecchi scenes

Might take a look when i run out of series to watch. The first one wasnt all bad.

Also bought a few series last month and the first 2 arrived, got Sekirei: Pure Engagement, Xam'd: Lost Memories, Qwaser of Stigmata and Fafner: Heaven and Earth.

Watched the first 2 episodes of Qwaser yesterday and christ is it bad. It's clearly made for people with lactophilia, and not even in a funny way o_O
