been here nearly 7 years and can't remember that happening before, does this show how the scene is now? Nobody has anything new to say or post, there are no CD releases (store available), DJ's are leaving, people are leaving here, I went on holiday in September, came back on here and nothing happened! What does everyone think?

shame really, cause facebook is unreliable and shit, especially as forums go
it makes for a terrible forum; if you have a fan-page ie if you have one for say "happy hardcore" even if someone posts something on that page, nobody would really see it - and even if the admin of that page posts something it won't even reach 1% of the "fans" of that page without pumping some money into sponsering a post..
I think whilst the raves are still going on, they seem to be getting smaller and a little more spread out than they used to be
also, i'm sure that someone posted something in the tracks/mixes section?
theres people posting new tracks in that everyday
producers outweighing the dancers? :P

If Hardcore didn't die 3 years ago then it certainly won't now. People ask the same question every year. If you ask me things have been getting better (with Thumpa's album releases and the HU releases). Commercial success is not a good way to gauge the health of a scene imo.

Some of the threads that have been posted outside that subforum belong in it if you ask me (e.g. the thread on Betwixt & Between - RIP).

Hardcore forums need drama's to survive :P
I think forums in general are slowing down.
Im not saying that this one is condemned, but it's certainly not what it was. I couldn't keep up with the posts when I joined in the ripe ol' year of 2007.
I rmember that day well. I was in Geography class reading about a Bonkers 18 thread

I dont think you've properly been involved in drama since about 2007.

It did a pretty good job of killing MSN though.

I could say the same for many years before. It's just subjective really. Someone brought this up before, i don't remember who. The conclusion is that things are going just fine. Certainly not the same, but fine. If there have been more people then it has been because the scene had more mildly interested listeners due to it being more commercially popular at the time but that means nothing, and as i said, is not a good gauge for how things are going (at least not by my standard). I would say the quality of discussion in the Hardcore sub-forum has increased somewhat of late. And that is what matters.

Facebook killed Bebo, Myspace, MSN and everything similer. It didn't kill this site though its just that commercial Hardcore died out but there seems to be more in the way of Underground Hardcore these days which I think is what the scene needed after an overdose of all that Clubland shite
