The highlight for me so far was Pandemonium. Such an epic scene of story and ourney.
The soundtrack was AMAZING too. A 17 minute composition by Underworld. Wanted to cry when the pause occurred for the World War's memento.
I'm also enjoying the swimming. Envy those who stand upon the blocks before the start of the race. Its the proudest and most magnificent moment you can feel - I can vouch for that :)

Yiiiiiieeeeeeeehaaaaa, I'm so deeply impressed: for the 3rd times in the modern history of the Olympic Games London is the location for these games. Probably the reason is it was choosen to bet the best choice............... ROFL. It's ridiculous! All locations of major sports events today are choosen by bribery. Football World Cup in Germany 2006? LOL! I'm sure no one in history has ever paid as much to get decided to deliver such an important event.
Italian Mafia? I'm so laughing out loudly about all the worldwide actions to destroy the organised crime. The biggest and strongest organisations today are all the sport associations an their self-owned doping organisations.
London 2012? I'll gladly will ignore any of the competitions.

I tuned in just at the start of the Rowan Atkinson scene, as he was running down the beach and I couldn't help but think it would've looked better if he was driving a green mini... But in general the show was great, after it finished I actually went back to watch the bits I missed because I was told it was really good and I was surprised. I honestly wasn't expecting it all to be any good... Yeah it could've shown a bit more from a Scottish / Welsh perspective but it was still very good...
Not sure why the Arctic Monkeys played, they're not exactly what comes to mind when you think British, didn't even know they were British, but maybe that's just because of my ignorance towards twat bands.
The queen was typically unimpressed, or looked it. Makes you wonder what she does in her free time, if having the best view to your countries opening olympic ceremony can't entertain you, what can? :s

well, for someone with absolute zero interest in the olympics..all this talk has made me want to watch the opening ceremony - will get the chips and dips in tonight and watch the re-run on iplayer!

Completely agree here. There's far better choice the UK has if they want to show the world their talents. Elton John for example? However, I guess with Paul McArtney already playing representing out musical past, and Dizzee playing representing our present, perhaps Boyle wanted a modern band to play something from the pas to link the two?
