I went and Bought a Shure PG58-QLR, but I think I wanted the SM... Thoughts?!, it sounded too cheap, but I want a 1/4" Jack... DUMB!!! =(

They have convertors for just about anything to 1/4s .
Speaking of which, I'm thinking of getting a turtle beach. Yea/Nay?

If it sounds too cheap to you then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Also yeah, absolutely no need to buy something just for it's connection; you can convert any audio connection to any other audio connection pretty much. The SM58 is definately the better choice.

I got myself an sE Electronics 2200a a while back and can't recommend it enough.
I've had great results with this and got a nice price when I got it bundled with the reflection filter. It's XLR & phantom power though so perhaps not suitable? Are you limited by your soundcard inputs?

Don't you need an XLR cable with a proper pre-amp for a mic with phantom power? If you just put a convertor on, it wouldn't give the mic enough power surely?

Only if its a condenser mic. Dynamic mics don't require phantom power. Although regardless a preamp is always ideal.
