ah ok good. it's real quirky for a minimal drops hardcore song, but definitely way better than bang yer head off. still think that song is just terrible.

I'm not a fan of Pure Fish but I don't think I could really criticize it. Anything that samples Gammer going "Cod....Batter" isn't really meant to be taken seriously anyway. As for Bang Your Head Off, I'm still a firm believer that Brisk and Fracus' 'Bhangra Your Head Off' should be played out instead, that tune cracks me up!

What i find incredibly odd is that a lot of people are seemingly against 'minimal drops' yet have nothing against the god awful Dubstep and Electro combinations that sound a million times worse. The minimal thing at least works to some degree, and even if it dosn't it doesn't sound nearly as awful as what i just mentioned.

Im not a big fan of electro or dubstep but it would seem that it would attract more listeners. Djs are going to spin whats popular. I think just keep it out of hardcore.

I agree, I could write essays worth of text on what I dislike about electrostepcore stuff but it's just not even worth it

on a serious note, to be fair - I just lumped all that crap under the minimal blanket
so in that respect, i entirely agree
but still, people should be able to like what they like without all the hate! ;)

The point is that minimal drops can be really boring and pathetic. It sounds like fast House. Its not even hard. More precisely, like somebody who underestimated House wanted to earn as much cash as possible.
But that's how commercial styles are constructed. And then some passionate artists get to kinda like them and turn the style into art. That's why, besides lame minimal drops, there r good minimal drops made by artists without commercial motives.
EDIT: Talkin about bizzare, I can stand hardest Gabber and fcking love it, yet I can't stand a soft pop song Luxurious by Gwen Stefani.
